Dana White, the head of the UFC has never been one to pull punches about what he believes and the company he keeps. White keeps it as real as the action in the octagon, and UFC fans respect him for it, even if it does lead to criticism from Twitter and the media. White’s friendship with President Trump and his refusal to rebuke Trump are prime examples.
“He’s a very, very good friend of mine,” White told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson on Monday evening. “Donald Trump has been such a good friend to me since the day I met him.”
In today’s political climate, even suggesting that you might support Trump is dangerous, often times physically. The left is unhinged, and Trump has driven them to near psychosis since 2016. To actually assert that Trump is a good friend and stand by him would be career limiting for some people and dangerous for others. White doesn’t care.
“Donald Trump saw that (the UFC) could possibly be big,” said White. “Plus, he’s a sports guy. He loves sports.” White added: “He offered us to come do the (UFC) event at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. (He) cut us a very fair deal. We went down there and did two events with him.
“He showed up for the first fight and stayed till the last. He took us in and he was great.”
UFC President Dana White has never been afraid to support his friend, Donald Trump.

Donald Trump, despite his critics and naysayers is a good golfer and an avid sports fan, but he is a better businessman. He saw something in White and the UFC and he took advantage of the opportunity.
“Everything that ever happened to me in my career, after that (Taj Mahal UFC event), the first guy to reach out and say congratulations was Donald Trump,” White told Carlson.
White went on to state that in addition to offering congratulations, Trump would send letters, pens and other gifts to White along with his acclaim.
“A guy who was genuinely happy for your success,” White said of Donald Trump.
Trump gets dragged and excoriated in the media on a regular basis, but most people have no idea who Donald Trump really is. They know what the media feeds them, and what their personal biases are. Anyone that has been close personal friends with the former President and HASN’T abandoned him to save their own skins say the same thing. Trump is a loyal, generous friend. White, who spoke during the 2016 RNC on Trump’s behalf, also had some interesting observations on today’s political landscape.
“This is what’s sad,” White began. “Obviously I did not vote for President Biden. He’s the president of the United States right now and I’m an American. I don’t dislike or hate anybody who voted for Biden.
“The fact that you’re the type of person that would actually hate somebody because of who they voted for, shows me exactly who you are.
“You’re not my kind of person and I don’t want to be friends with you either. So the feeling is very mutual. And it’s not because of who you voted for. It’s because of how you carry yourself.
“Who you vote for and what you decide to do with your life means nothing to me. That’s your own personal choice.”
Dana White for the win once again. More conservatives and Americans in general need to adopt White’s philosophy. You don’t have to hate or judge someone based on their political leanings. In the end most of us just want what we personally think is right for the country and our own situations. To hate someone for that, including President Trump is to show your own bias and lack of critical thinking. Unfortunately, the left has cornered the market on bias since 2016. Thankfully people like Dana White aren’t afraid to stand up and support their friends.
