Heartbreaking News For Marjorie Taylor Greene, Husband Of 27 Years

On Wednesday, the husband of fiery conservative Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, filed for divorce, going on to say that his marriage with her is “irretrievably broken.”

The couple had apparently already separated according to information contained in the divorce petition that was filed in the Georgia Superior Court of Floyd County. This is truly sad news to hear. However, marriage is tough. Two imperfect people trying to co-exist with each other under the same roof is no easy challenge. Still, it’s heartbreaking when a marriage doesn’t make it.

Bloomberg stated, “Perry Greene, who married Marjorie Taylor in 1995 while they were both studying at the University of Georgia, asked for an equitable division of assets and debt, and that all future filings in the case be sealed to protect the couple’s privacy.”

“The Court should allow all filings to be made under seal in this case because the parties’ significant privacy interest in sealing the records outweighs the public’s miniscule interest in access to said records,” the motion went on to state.

Greene, who is a top ally of former President Donald Trump, is a person who has long championed traditional values and as such, has become a favorite target of ruthless individuals on the far left.

“Marriage is a wonderful thing and I’m a firm believer in it,” she went on to say to Fox News in a written statement. “Our society is formed by a husband and wife creating a family to nurture and protect. Together, Perry and I formed our family and raised three great kids. He gave me the best job title you can ever earn: Mom.”

“I’ll always be grateful for how great of a dad he is to our children,” she continued.

Her husband put out a statement of his own in which he touts Marjorie as an “amazing” mother and friend. “Our family is our most important thing we have done,” he remarked. “As we go on different paths, we will continue to focus on our 3 incredible kids and their future endeavors and our friendship.”

There’s little doubt in my mind the radical left is seizing on this personal tragedy as a means of slamming Greene for being a hypocrite, but that’s because the left is full of bitterness and hatred. Just look at social media and you will see what I mean. What we need to do is just mind our own business and let them sort it out.

And just because a person champions traditional values, like marriage between a man and a woman, doesn’t mean they think every marriage is perfect or will survive until the end. But we should be striving for that goal. After all, traditional marriage is the backbone of any fully functioning society. Which is why the left is trying, desperately, to end it. With this out of the way, they will be able to raise up future generations who trust the government without thought, rather than seek to be self-sustaining in their own family units.
