The Georgia Senate race was a contentious, tight race that not only went down to the wire but also went to a runoff. The result obviously wasn’t what the GOP hoped for, as the Race-baiting Warnock narrowly edged out Heisman winner and NFL star Herschel Walker to make the Senate a 51-49 lefty majority. Even though the House belongs to the GOP, basically giving them the ability to logjam Biden for the remained of the term, the Georgia Senate race was important as well, as the filibuster and numerous committee positions hang in the balance.
There was much concern by the left in the run-up to the midterms about alleged voter suppression. Though completely unfounded, Dems everywhere were wetting their diapers, claiming Republicans in certain states would attempt to intimidate and suppress minority votes. Georgia had a record turnout for the midterms and the runoff, but that still didn’t keep Raphael Warnock from continuing his assault on the truth and common sense. Check this out.
Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) suggested voter suppression exists in Georgia during his U.S. Senate victory speech Tuesday night, despite the state seeing record-breaking midterm turnout.
Warnock spoke about the alleged voter suppression just after he narrowly defeated Republican Herschel Walker in the state’s competitive Senate runoff battle.
Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA): “Just because people endured long lines … the rain, and the cold, and all kinds of tricks in order to vote doesn’t mean that voter suppression does not exist. It simply means that you, the people, have decided that your voices will not be silenced.” pic.twitter.com/O0AlgsG7pJ

How does anyone with functioning gray matter look at the voting numbers in Georgia and believe ANYONE was suppressed? The state had a massive record turnout. When you win, do it with grace and dignity, not with more race-fueled rhetoric.
“There are those who would look at the outcome of this race and say that there’s no voter suppression in Georgia,” Warnock began.
He proceeded to suggest long lines, “the rain and the cold,” and “all kinds of tricks” were indications of voter suppression that people had merely overcome:
Let me be clear. Just because people endured long lines that wrapped around buildings, some blocks long, just because they endured the rain and the cold and all kinds of tricks in order to vote doesn’t mean that voter suppression does not exist. It simply means that you the people have decided that your voices will not be silenced.
Saying “all kinds of tricks” is more an indication of Warnock NOT having any actual evidence of voter suppression. The rain and cold are not tricks designed by the GOP to keep black folks from voting. After all, the Democrats are the party that thinks they can control the weather. If we want to talk about voter suppression, one need only look to Arizona and Maricopa County and the long lines and frustration in heavily red areas caused by “malfunctioning” machines and voting centers being allegedly out of ink and toner and not being able to print ballots. That is actual voter suppression. Georgia actually rolled back existing laws at the behest of the Dems to allow voting on Saturday and Sunday. To be clear, there IS no evidence of any voter suppression in Georgia, and the attempt to imply there was is shameful on Warnock’s part. The reverend needs to use the next 6 years figuring out how to make Georgians’ lives better rather than lining his own pockets and pushing his leftist agenda. Sadly, voting has consequences, and the people of Georgia are about to discover that they aren’t always positive.
