After having a rather sharp-tongued conversation with then-Vice President Mike Pence in 2020, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi turned to her daughter, who was documenting the whole thing on film, and asked a rhetorical question that would have no doubt gotten a wide variety of answers from folks on the right. I mean, I think quite a few individuals with a conservative bent would probably answer this question with a very strong affirmative.
According to the Daily Wire, “Pelosi had been listening to Pence speaking during a COVID teleconference while she was muted, the Daily Mail reported. Her daughter Alexandra, filming her for a future documentary, asked, ‘What is the point of this call’” ‘They’re checking a box,’ Pelosi answered. After unmuting herself to sarcastically tell Pence, ‘This has been a useful exchange,’ followed by questions on how the Trump administration was following the spread of the virus, she signed off, ‘Happy Easter!'”
After hanging up, Pelosi then asks her daughter a simple question, one that will no doubt provide fodder for those who are expert level trolls for years to come.
“Am I a b****?” she asked.
Is this a question she really wants an answer to? I’m sure once this spreads all over Twitter she’s going to get all kinds of responses, most of them a big, fat “yes,” but there will no doubt be a bunch of affirmatives done in creative meme fashion that will live on forever, the vast majority featuring her picture.
This whole exchange is part of Alexandra Pelosi’s HBO documentary “Pelosi in the House,” which aired on Tuesday.
Back in January 2019, while making an appearance on CNN’s “New Day” program, Alexandra Pelosi boasted about how tough her mom is, stating, “She’ll cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding.”
“Pelosi was asked about her mother’s impending discussions on Wednesday with President Trump regarding the government shutdown,” the report said.
Show host John Berman kicked things off by asking, “If you can tell us what Speaker Pelosi thinks about going in —”
Pelosi replied, “John, we have known you for two decades. Do you think I’m the kind of person who is going to come on CNN and talk about my mother? Is that who you think I am?”
Berman pushed, “I’m asking you, you were a fantastic political reporter. How much does she approach meetings with President Trump, A, and B, just what are your feelings about this person, who you know quite well, becoming Speaker of the House for a second time?”
“She’ll cut your head off and you won’t even know you’re bleeding. That’s all you need to know about her, No one ever won betting against Nancy Pelosi. She’s persevered. You’ve got to give her credit, no matter what you think of her, you have to give her credit, because, think about it. Think about all those presidents she’s endured, right? She was the Bush, the Bush, the Clinton, you know, she’s been through it all. So, she’s been around. This is not her first rodeo, as your friend George Bush would say. So she knows what she’s doing. And that’s — should make you sleep at night that at least somebody in this town knows what they’re doing,” the younger Pelosi commented.
Lovely family, aren’t they?
