The last thing our country needs is another blowhard celebrity blabbing endlessly about their political beliefs and attempting to vilify anyone who dares to hold a worldview that doesn’t hold the ideology of Karl Marx as the one true path to peace and harmony. Unfortunately, if actor Ben Savage, former star of 90s hit comedy series Boy Meets World is successful with his latest endeavor, that’s exactly what we’re all going to get.
According to the Daily Wire, Savage is hoping to run for California’s 30th District in the House of Representatives if the current occupant of that seat decides to give running for Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s seat in the Senate the old college try. Just shoot me now. I mean who would have thought that one day, little Cory Matthews, the adorable rascal with dimples and a mop of curly hair, would grow up to be an obnoxious lefty politician. Talk about a plot twist.
The report stated that Savage filed all the necessary paperwork with the Federal Election Commission for “Ben Savage for Congress,” on Wednesday. And yes, he filed with the Democratic Party, as if you didn’t already guess that by everything I’ve said thus far. Plus, he’s from Hollywood. What are the chances he’d actually be someone who understands the importance of liberty?
“Rob Pyers of California Target Book reportedly seemed to be the first to release the news that Savage was possibly going after Schiff’s currently held seat, along with a tweet from CATargetBot,” the Daily Wire said.

“In November, Savage ran for local office to serve on the L.A. City Council, but was unsuccessful. Savage came in seventh place, securing 6.32% of the vote. He had resided in West Hollywood for eighteen years when he ran for office,” the report revealed.
On his campaign website for West Hollywood city council, Savage stated he was “running for City Council because there are serious challenges ahead and West Hollywood deserves sensible, honest and strong leadership to face them.”
“The city is facing serious challenges around public safety, struggling businesses, inflation and the cost of housing. We need new leaders with a fresh perspective who are ready to begin tackling these issues,” he continued. “We need to restore faith in city government by offering reasonable, innovative and compassionate solutions to the city’s most pressing issues.”
“We need to increase and expand access to all the great opportunities West Hollywood affords, by ensuring that every member of the community has the tools they need to succeed,” he added.
The report then said, “In November, Politico reported that several sources said Representative Adam Schiff was not planning to go after a leading Democratic role in the House. Rather, he was setting his sights on possibly running for the Senate.”
As of this writing, Sen. Feinstein has stated that she is not going to step down from her seat in the Senate, however two female Democrats have announced they are jumping into the race, hoping she’ll end up changing her mind. Reps. Katie Porter and Barbara Lee have both stated they are planning to run for the seat.
“According to IMDB, Savage continued to pursue his schooling even while he was an actor. In 2004, he graduated from Stanford University with a Political Science degree. He also interned for U.S. Senator Arlen Specter, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, during the summer of 2003,” the report added.
