Former President Trump Weighs In On Chinese Spy Balloon, Here’s What He Wants Done Immediately

Former President Donald Trump is once again proving that he’s far more of a natural born leader than current Commander-in-Chief Joe Biden could ever hope to be as he speaks out and calls for a Chinese spy balloon currently floating over the U.S. to be shot down. Taking action to ensure national security is not compromised by this brazen move on behalf of China’s communist government ought to be our highest priority. Although, what can you expect from a man who, if Hunter Biden’s laptop is any indication, has been in bed with China for a very, very long time?

Trump took to Truth Social on Friday where he stated, “SHOOT DOWN THE BALLOON!” After officials at the Pentagon confirmed on Thursday evening there was a Chinese spy balloon caught floating over the United States for several days.

According to Breitbart, Pentagon Press Secretary Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder released a statement on Thursday saying, “The United States government has detected and is tracking a high-altitude surveillance balloon that is over the continental United States right now. The U.S. government, to include NORAD, continues to track and monitor it closely. The balloon is currently traveling at an altitude well above commercial air traffic, and does not present a military or physical threat to people on the ground. Instances of this kind of balloon activity have been observed previously over the past several years. Once the balloon was detected, the U.S. government acted immediately to protect against the collection of sensitive information.”

A senior intelligence official spoke with the press during a briefing, revealing that “We are confident that this high-altitude surveillance balloon belongs to the [People’s Republic of China].”

The official went on to say that Biden was fully briefed on the situation and asked for military options available to deal with the situation, but that “it was the strong recommendation by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. [Mark] Milley and the commander of NORTHCOM, Gen. Glen VanHerck, not to take kinetic action due to the risk to safety and security of the people on the ground from the possible debris field.”

The moment this thing floats over an area where collateral damage and civilian injury is no longer a serious threat, the balloon needs to be popped. This is a danger to our national security. Who knows what kind of data China is gleaning from the balloon as we speak, but you can guarantee they will use what they are gathering for nefarious purposes.

“Currently we assess that this balloon has limited additive value from an intelligence collection perspective. But we are taking steps, nevertheless, to protect against foreign intelligence collection of sensitive information. We are also tracking what abilities it could have in gaining insights, and continue to monitor the balloon as it is over the continental United States,” the senior defense official remarked during the briefing.

“The official said the military was looking at whether there was an option on Wednesday to shoot it down over sparsely populated areas in Montana, but that ‘we just couldn’t buy down the risk enough to feel comfortable recommending shooting it down yesterday,'” Breitbart reported.

This is a fairly alarming situation. What makes it more intense is the weak leadership we have sitting in the White House. Biden is not equipped in any capacity to deal with a situation such as this one. Trump or someone like him is what we need right now. A man of strong personality and character who can boldly stand up to the Chinese government with an air  of authority.

Let’s pray for peaceful solutions to this balloon situation.
