A young Republican councilwoman from New Jersey was shot and killed outside of her own home Wednesday while she was sitting inside her car. Fox News identified the victim of the shooting as 30-year-old Sayerville Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour, a member of the GOP.
“A 911 call reported shots fired around 7:22 p.m, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said. A female, identified by New Jersey Globe reporter David Wildstein as Dwumfour, was found dead in her vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds,” the outlet went on to say, according to Breitbart.
Dwumfour was shot while in her vehicle, just before it ended up crashing close by the Camelot at La Mer apartment complex, says a report from the New York Post.
“Officials said the investigation is ongoing and citizens with information pertaining to the case were asked to call the Sayreville Police Department or the prosecutor’s office. In a social media post, community organizer Charlie Kratovil called her death a ‘huge loss’ for the area,” the report continued.
“I personally knew her to be a very kind person and public servant. May she rest in peace,” he stated in a Twitter post:

Kratovil revealed that detectives who are investigating the murder believe the incident was not random, but targeted, though they do not have a motive for such action at this time. His followers quickly responded with their condolences, one individual saying, “I’m incredibly saddened for this lovely young lady, her family, and the New Jersey community she served! My sincere condolences! This is horrible.”
“This is a life cut to short, so wrong,” another person commented.
“Dwumfour reportedly had a background in IT and worked as a business consultant who was elected to the Borough Council in 2021. Her term was supposed to expire in December 2024. According to the Sayreville GOP’s website, Dwumfour said Sayreville was her home and ‘I love and cherish this town and it is my desire to help improve the lives of its residents,'” Breitbart’s report said.
Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat, posted a tweet stating that he was shocked to hear the news of Dwumfour’s killing.
“Her career of public service was just beginning, and by all accounts she had already built a reputation as a committed member of the Borough Council who took her responsibility with the utmost diligence and and seriousness,” he said:
I am stunned by the news of Sayreville Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour’s murder last evening in an act of gun violence. I send my condolences to her family and friends, and the entire Sayreville community.

“I send my condolences to Councilwoman Dwumfour’s family and friend, her governing body colleagues, and the entire Sayreville community,” Murphy continued.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all to find out there was some sort of political motivation for this young woman’s killing. The Democratic Party has been working themselves down to the bone in order to create increasing levels of division and hostility among the people of this great nation.
But beyond that, crime has been skyrocketing all across the U.S. thanks to soft-on-crime policies being pushed by Democrats at the local, state, and federal levels. Criminals and killers no longer fear the consequences of being busted by law enforcement. There are a million and one ways they can essentially get away with murder.
This is one reason so many of them have become brazen.
If we want to feel safe again, we need to elect officials at all levels who are willing to drop the hammer on the bad guys.
