What does Elaine Benes from Seinfeld, Kelly Kapoor from The Office, Bruce Springsteen and Gladys Knight sans the Pips have in common? Besides all being well past the height of their popularity, of course. They are avowed leftists being honored at the White House during the National Medal of Arts ceremony this week.
Thank goodness Joe Biden is focusing on the important things, like J6, threats to our democracy, climate change, not pooping himself in public, and falling up stairs. In the meantime prez is squeezing time out of his busy day to bestow largely undeserved honors on a number of past-their-prime liberals. Good thing the ceremony isn’t before 9 AM! Check this out.
The left loves to applaud itself and its ideological gatekeepers with a constant stream of award ceremonies, plaudits, honors, medals, salutes, back slapping, and public recognition events, all played out in a frenzy of elbow-gripping excitement.
The latest instalment comes Tuesday when President Joe Biden hosts the 2021 National Humanities Medals and the National Medal of Arts with multi-millionaire rocker Bruce Springsteen to the fore.
Springsteen has also been showered with multiple Grammys and Golden Globes, plus an Academy Award and a special, one-off Tony Award, all while loudly professing his love of Democratic politics while publicly loathing its opponents.
In 2017 the Boss said he’s an “embarrassed American,” thanks to President Donald Trump, as Breitbart News reported.
Bruce Springsteen is so out of touch with the common man that he probably believes what he says. Wonder when the last time the Boss had to buy gas, or struggle with an electric bill he couldn’t pay, or have to decide between medicine or groceries. Those are all hallmarks of his guy’s White House. Is Bruce an embarrassed American now? He should be an embarrassed liberal.
Unfortunately people like Springsteen can’t see past their own privilege.
Springsteen will be far from alone at the White House. Actresses Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Mindy Kaling, “Empress of Soul” Gladys Knight and 20 others can also expect to be awarded and applauded.
AP reports at the same event, Biden will award 2021 National Humanities Medals to a group including authors Amy Tan, Colson Whitehead and Ann Patchett.
The medal honors individuals or groups for work that “deepens understanding of the humanities.”
The medals are Biden’s first batch of awards for the arts and humanities and were delayed by the pandemic.
The president surprised Sir Elton John with a National Humanities Medal during a White House musical event last September.

Who thought Queen Elizabeth was the only queen to visit the White House? Shockingly, and completely off brand for the Biden Administration, it appears that no fake women are being honored.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, also known as Elaine, at least has something on her resume besides activism and Seinfeld. She played the Vice President in the HBO show “VEEP”. Personally only saw bits and pieces, but her awkward, bumbling character is now our day to day reality, at least as Vice President.
Mindy Kaling on the other hand was an ensemble member of the smash show The Office. Beyond that she has had a failed string of productions, including the dreadful “Velma” animated series. That would be Velma from Scooby Doo, the teenage sleuth that Kaling reimagined as Asian and openly bisexual. So brave! Of course, critics and fans hated it, but they are just a bunch of narrow minded bigots!
The ceremony will be held in the East Wing of the White House at 4:30 p.m. EST. First Lady and fake doctor Jill Biden will also be in attendance, presumably to make sure Joe doesn’t yell at ghosts and wander away. Thankfully the ceremony will take place after 9 AM, and before early-bird dinner and “Murder She Wrote”.
