Ben Savage, brother of Wonder Years actor Fred Savage and star of the hit 90s sitcom Boy Meets World, has officially launched a political campaign to replace one of the architects of the Russia collusion hoax narrative, Rep. Adam Schiff, a California Democrat, from Congress. The actor filed his paperwork to run as a Democrat back in January and made the official announcement concerning his campaign in a post on Instagram.
“Together, we can do better. I am a proud Californian, union member and longtime resident of District 30 who comes from a family of unwavering service to our country and community,” Savage went on to write in the post. “I firmly believe in standing up for what is right, ensuring equality and expanding opportunities for all.”
“I’m running for Congress because it’s time to restore faith in government by offering reasonable, innovative and compassionate solutions to our country’s most pressing issues. And it’s time for new and passionate leaders who can help move our country forward. Leaders who want to see the government operating at maximum capacity, unhindered by political divisions and special interests,” he later added.
Schiff announced that he would be running for the U.S. Senate seat of the retiring Dianne Feinstein, also a California Democrat, which led to several individuals immediately tossing their hat into the ring for consideration as his replacement.
Savage himself first got involved in the realm of politics back in 2022 when he ran for West Hollywood City Council. He lost. Which might should have been an indicator that perhaps politics isn’t his calling, but hey, who am I to explode someone’s delusions of grandeur?
“In 2003, Savage interned for then-U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter, D-Pa., while studying political science at Stanford,” Fox News pointed out. “During a 2014 interview with the outlet, Savage said he thought the internship would be a fun experience and that D.C. is all about connections.”
“I firmly believe in supporting women’s health and empowering women to make decision and choices about their own lives. After the Supreme Court ruling in June 2022, it is important that we codify Roe v. Wade,” his website goes on to say concerning his policy positions. “In Congress, I will fight to protect the right to choose, expand protections and improve access to affordable healthcare. I will also fight to advance paid maternity leave.”
Gee, look at that. A celebrity running for political office in California as a Democrat who supports the murder of children in the womb. What a shocker.
Feel free to insert an eye roll…right….about…..HERE.
At the end of the day, if Savage gets elected, it won’t really matter. It’s just more of the same. Names and faces are different, but policies are a carbon copy of the man who came before him. If California wants to experience real change, they need to start voting Republican. Try something different. You can’t keep electing the same kind of politicians with the same kind of policies and somehow expect a different result.
That’s just lunacy.
