Chris Rock Roasts ‘Stupid’ Lawmakers for Wanting President Trump Arrested

Chris Rock sees the writing on the wall. Perhaps not in terms of insulting Will Smith’s wife, but in terms of lawmakers planning to have President Trump arrested on “trumped” up charges, Rock can see it as plainly as Will Smith’s hand in front of his face.

Recently, in a ceremony honoring Adam Sandler, Rock had some choice words for certain lawmakers in attendance, including Nancy Pelosi. It was hilarious, and true. Check this out.

Chris Rock joked that former President Donald Trump was “romantic” for allegedly paying off porn star Stormy Daniels — while calling lawmakers “stupid” for wanting him arrested, warning it will only inflate his popularity.

The 58-year-old funnyman addressed the expected arrest as he helped honor Adam Sandler at the Mark Twain Prize late Sunday — directly addressing lawmakers in the audience, including Nancy Pelosi.

As always, Rock was spot-on in his assessment. While paying so-called hush money to a poor star is seedy, and certainly not romantic, it is also not worthy of an arrest.

The left has tried and tried to catch the former President up in a legal issue, whether it be made up or not. It seems as if they have settled on literally all that they have left. This is a far-cry from Russia-Gate.

”Are you guys really going to arrest Trump?” Rock asked the crowd, according to the Daily Mail, which noted that several officials from the Biden administration were in the Kennedy Center crowd.

“Do you know this is only going to make him more popular. It’s like arresting Tupac” Shakur, he quipped of the late rapper.

“He’s just gonna sell more records. Are you stupid?” he asked to a roar of laughter, according to the outlet.

Rock also poked fun at the expected charges over Trump, 76, allegedly paying hush money to Stormy Daniels to try to kill her affair claims in the run-up to the 2016 election.

He joked that the future president “f—ed a porn star and paid off someone so his wife couldn’t find out.”

“That’s romantic,” Rock joked, according to the outlet.

“We’ve all been cheated on. Don’t you wish that the person that cheated on you paid off somebody so you wouldn’t find out?” he asked.

President Trump’s fan base was riled up in 2016 after actual real slights and insults directly from Hillary Clinton and every smarmy, snarky leftists pundit. One can only imagine the reaction the fan base will have to Trump in handcuffs on what everyone knows is a nonsense charge.

It seems as if the Democrats can’t get out of their own way in terms of NOT pissing off conservatives. With reports of an imminent arrest, even Chris Rock knows what a terrible idea it is. However, as a conservative it will be fascinating to watch the right rally once again around President Trump.

Trump was far from the only politician whom Rock focused on during his bit cracking up the Washington, DC, crowd — including President Biden, the oldest-ever commander-in-chief at 80.

Interesting days ahead. The presidential race is heating up, the democrats are shooting every toe off their foot, and Chris Rock is making jokes again. Good times!
