Manhattan Grand Jury Not Meeting Wednesday, Possible Trump Indictment Delayed Once Again

A grand jury in New York that is looking at evidence that former President Donald Trump paid off porn star Stormy Daniels with “hush money” to keep quiet about an alleged sexual affair during the 2016 presidential election has reportedly been called off on Wednesday, which once again delays a possible indictment for the former commander-in-chief. This is definitely good news for Trump, but who knows where this whole mess is going to end up.

The grand jury will not meet on Wednesday, delaying a potential indictment of the former president until Thursday at the earliest, according to The New York Times. The news comes after a Daily Mail report suggested that an indictment was expected to come down on Wednesday,” the Daily Wire reported.

“The grand jury case fell into a firestorm of controversy this week after Trump suggested over the weekend that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg planned to have Trump charged and arrested on Tuesday. The day passed without an indictment,” the report continued.

The hiatus in the case comes just several days after former federal prosecutor Robert Costello provided testimony in front of the grand jury that said Trump’s former attorney and alleged “fixer,” Michael Cohen, who used to provide Costello with legal counsel, is not a trustworthy individual. Cohen is believed to be the prosecution’s star witness concerning the charges they want to bring against the former president.

“I told the grand jury that this guy couldn’t tell the truth if you put a gun to his head,” Costello said to The New York Times after he gave his testimony.

Alan Dershowitz, Harvard Law professer emeritus, made an appearance on Fox News Tuesday evening where he explained that Costello’s testimony more than likely derailed Bragg’s plans for Trump. He then stated that the attack Costello made on Cohen’s trustworthiness might have buried Bragg’s chances of relying on him as a witness in the case.

“Bob Costello has changed this case dramatically,” Dershowitz said in a segment with Fox host Sean Hannity.

“I think that Bragg now only has two possible results from that. Number one, he can say, ‘alright, I’m going to try to make the case without Cohen.’ He cannot use Cohen as a witness anymore. That would be unethical because of the testimony that Costello gave,” he added. “Or he could say, ‘look, I have to drop the case.’ He may not be able to make it without Cohen. But if he can’t make it without Cohen, he can’t make it, because no ethical prosecutor is allowed to put on as a witness somebody who has told the lies and has contradicted himself so much.”

We all know Bragg is simply functioning as the hand of vengeance for the Democratic Party against Trump. They are desperate to find some way they can cut him out of the 2024 presidential election, as the left does not want to see a rematch Biden, obviously fearing that his poor performance as the commander-in-chief will sway more voters to lean toward Trump and his America first policies.
