In one of the more ridiculous, laughable moves, the NAACP has voted to issue a hilarious “travel advisory” for black people regarding the state of Florida.
The Florida Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) voted unanimously to issue a travel advisory for the state because of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ so-called “anti-black legislation”.
Of course, there is no real anti-black legislation, just as there was no “don’t say gay” legislation, but since people simply refuse to do research before they clutch pearls, now black folks aren’t supposed to go to the beach. Governor DeSantis hasn’t been quiet about the situation. Check this out.
A reporter asked DeSantis about the story on Thursday, to which he smirked and rightfully called a stunt.
Reporter: “Governor, the Florida chapter of the NAACP voted yesterday to ask the national branch to issue a travel advisory to Black Americans advising them not to come to Florida over the AP African American studies history controversy as well as the DEI (Diversity, Equality Inclusivity) ban.”
DeSantis: “What a joke. What a joke.
Reporter: silence.
DeSantis: “Yeah, we’ll see how effective that is.”
Of course, DeSantis is correct. It is a stunt meant to draw attention to an antiquated activist group that hasn’t been relevant for decades. Any press is good press, even if it makes you look like a bunch of unhinged racists.
The NAACP just told Black folk not to come to Florida because it’s not safe for us.
Well, I’m Black and I been Black all my life.
I been living in Florida for thirty years.
I’ve done well for myself and lifted up my community.
So that is some FOOLISHNESS if I ever heard it!

This isn’t the first time the far-left has attempted to besmirch the sunshine state and Ron DeSantis. Anyone remember covid?
There, the governor likened the call to the last “Don’t go to Florida” movement — one that saw Americans not flee from, but to the state.
“Just remember, during Covid these people would be on CNN, all this stuff, slamming Florida, saying we were so bad, ‘Don’t go to Florida.’ And then they would end up being spotted on the beach somewhere vacationing in Florida.”
Instead, Florida has been a bastion of freedom. Their population has exploded and their economy has been white-hot as people from blue states all across the country have flocked to what America should be. The media has done everything they can to take down DeSantis, even as far as outright lying, then doubling down after being called out.
NBC, most specifically, has been lying about DeSantis’ stance on education for months. Host Andrea Mitchel told viewers the governor wants to prohibit the teaching of slavery in the classroom.
She lied. And the network doubled down on said lie.
In fact, the Florida Department of Education’s website shows that teaching about slavery is a requirement. Not a ban.
DeSantis subsequently banned the network from any of his press activities until they apologize. Since activists like the NAACP don’t concern themselves with facts, they call for nonsense action that no one will pay attention to.
DeSantis concludes of the NAACP:
“This is a stunt to try to do that. It’s a pure stunt. And fine, if you wanna waste your time on a stunt, that’s fine.
“Look, I’m not wasting my time on your stunts, I’m gonna make sure that we’re getting things done here and we’re gonna continue to make this state a great state.”
At some point one would think the left, and leftist news media, which is pretty much all of them, would learn that Ron DeSantis will not stand quietly aside while fake news spreads their fake news stories. The NAACP is no different. They had their time, and that was 40 years ago.
