A new report has revealed that a grand jury in Manhattan has once again delayed hearing the case against former President Donald Trump, this time pushing things back until Monday at the very least. Look, you don’t delay something this many times unless you suddenly have good reason to doubt the veracity of the case you have against someone. It appears the evidence against Trump in this whole Stormy Daniels hush money thing is getting thinner.
According to a report from the Daily Wire, sources spoke to ABC News concerning this new development, saying, it would destroy any speculation still swirling that an indictment of the former president was imminent in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s probe into Trump concerning the payments allegedly made to porn star Stormy Daniels in order to buy her silence during the 2016 presidential election over an affair the two are alleged to have had.
“The grand jury is convening Thursday to consider a different case and is expected to return to the Trump inquiry as early as next week. The panel also did not meet to hear evidence in the Trump case on Wednesday as was expected,” the Daily Wire continued. “Trump, who denies any wrongdoing, predicted over the weekend that he would be arrested on Tuesday and called on his supporters to protest.”
A spokesperson for Trump went on to say that the former president had not received any kind of notification other than “illegal leaks” to the media concerning the actual date and time he would be taken into custody. It’s likely the leaks were reports concerning law enforcement preparing for the possibility of an upcoming indictment.
In the history of the United States, there has never been a former president that has been indicted on charges. Hey, there’s a first time for everything, right? Though I was almost positive the first former president to be indicted on criminal charges would be Joe Biden. If things keep going the way they are now, maybe that will still come to pass. One can hope, right?
“The former president faces other investigations, including one in Georgia focused on the 2020 election. He also is being investigated by special counsel Jack Smith for his handling of classified documents and actions related to the events of January 6, 2021,” the report added.
This whole indictment thing reeks of politicization, doesn’t it? The radical left is in full panic mode given the extremely poor performance of President Biden, knowing that if Trump is allowed to continue running for president, there is likely going to be a rematch between the two, and this time, things most certainly do not look good for the active commander-in-chief.
Working against Biden is the fact he’s run up inflation to an insane level, pushing up the cost of living and purchasing every day goods and services. Add to that the debacle in Afghanistan, the mishandling of COVID, the price of gas, and an extremely poor economy, and well, yeah, things don’t look good. We need competent leadership. And at this point, that could literally be a chimpanzee from the zoo.
Trump is a much better option than either one of those, so it should be a pretty clear victory for him if he wins the nomination, especially after all of the recent attacks, which are not going to subside as the campaign continues.
