Tiger Woods Out of Bound? Ex-Girlfriend Suing Him for $30M for Sneaky Eviction

Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend, Erica Herman, has filed a lawsuit against him seeking over $30 million in damages. Herman alleges that she was tricked into leaving the Florida mansion they shared and then locked out after the pair ended their relationship.

Woods’ attorneys have responded to the lawsuit, stating that Herman was advised that she was no longer welcome at the property. The trust’s legal team argues that Herman is required to settle any issues with Woods confidentially through arbitration and that she is suing the trust to argue her claims in a public forum.

Herman has also filed a separate lawsuit against Woods to have her non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with him declared invalid under the federal Speak Out Act. While Herman has not made specific allegations of sexual assault or abuse against Woods, her court filings imply that she might do so if the NDA is declared invalid. Woods’ legal team has argued that the dispute should be resolved in court. Check this out;

Erica Herman, who is Tiger Woods’ ex-girlfriend, is reportedly suing the golfer for $30 million for allegedly violating a verbal agreement she said was in place by preventing her from accessing the Florida home where they once lived together.

Herman said Woods’ representatives told her they were taking her to the airport for a “short vacation” and then informed her she was “locked out” of the house and could not return once they arrived at the airport.

The basis of the lawsuit is the “oral tenancy agreement” she said the couple had that would have allowed her to live in the house for five more years with a “reasonable rental value” of $30 million total.

It’s unclear if Tiger hatched this scheme or his team did. Either way, it is a bad look for the legendary golfer, and considering Tiger’s history with the ladies, probably a look he should have avoided. He should probably avoid any “oral” agreements in the future.

Woods’ trust responded to the lawsuit with documents saying there was no such agreement in place and that she simply lived there as his girlfriend and would then, presumably, live somewhere else after they split.

TMZ previously reported Wednesday that Herman filed legal documents against Woods regarding a non-disclosure agreement she said he made her sign when they started dating.

Herman said the federal Speak Out Act, which prevents a previous NDA from being enforced in a situation involving sexual assault or sexual harassment, applies in this case. She also said Woods’ private trust is enforcing the NDA to prevent her from discussing her experiences with him.

It is unclear if Herman is accusing Woods of any sexual misconduct. Indeed, she may be taking this angle looking for a loophole to stay in Woods home. It is likely Woods own multiple homes, so it is possible that he made some “promises” in the dark of the night that Herman would always have a place to live. Sometimes men will say almost anything to get a moment’s peace. Not saying that is the case, not saying it isn’t.

Either way, while $30M might not be a lot to Tiger Woods, he probably has that in his couch cushions, it is still a bad lie. (Golf pun). If there are indeed sexual misconduct allegations, it won’t be uncharted territory for Woods, considering his playboy history. For now, Tiger might be well advised to work on his short game, stay out of the rough, and leave his putter in its bag until this is all sorted out.
