The woke executives working for Anheuser-Busch might have made a huge mistake by shrugging off the initial backlash that they suffered after Bud Light announced a partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney — who identifies as a woman despite clearly being a biological male — however, they’re going to have a much more difficult time ignoring the Monday morning drop in the company’s share price that has rolled around as a logical result.
“The stock price for Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV (BUD) closed last week at $66.34 per share. Monday morning, the price fell precipitously, opening at $64.99. As of the time of publication, the price continued to slide,” TheBlaze reported.
“ScalpIt, a Twitter account that discusses investment opportunities, suggested last week that it might be a good ‘time to short $BUD’ as merchandisers noted the consumer backlash to Bud Light’s reported partnership with Mulvaney was having a visible impact,” the report continued.
A person who claimed to work for an affiliate of Anheuser-Busch pointed out online that very few, if any, are now purchasing the company’s variety of alcoholic beverages. Other pictures that are getting around on Twitter appear to support his claims. At least anecdotally.

“TheBlaze previously reported that the initial announcement — that a TikTok performer who simultaneously boasts about having become a ‘girl’ and sporting a ‘bulge’ would be a spokesman for the Bud Light — sparked outrage and disbelief,” the report said.
Derek Hunter, a writer for Townhall, referred to Bud Light as “the groomer of beers,” which is a mockery of the company’s old slogan of being “king of beers.” That’s definitely not the case anymore. Even without the whole transgender partnership controversy, beer drinkers today have become rather sophisticated in their tastes and are opting for more locally brewed beverages or just anything that doesn’t have the taste of horse urine. Just throwing that out there.
Founder of Gays Against Groomers, Jaimee Michell, posted on Twitter, saying, “Dylan Mulvaney is the new (botched) face of Bud Light [clown emoji] @budlight either doesn’t know their customers or they do and just don’t give a sh**. I’m guessing the latter. What a disgrace.”
Rock musician Kid Rock made his displeasure over the company’s decision very clear when he literally came out with his boycott announcement guns blazing.
In a viral video, the singer, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, said, “Let me say something to all of you and be as clear and concise as possible,” before unleashing a number of shots into several cases of Bud Light.
Ritchie, always the eloquent speaker, summed up well the feelings of the majority of Americans by concluding his video by saying, “F*** Bud Light, and f*** Anheuser-Busch. … Have a nice day!”
Country music superstar Travis Tritt took it a step further and announced he would “be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same.”
The post was retweeted a whopping 21,700 times and was liked over 210,000 times.
Tritt then pointed out that he had, in the past, been sponsored by Budweiser, however, those days are long over.
“A great American company that later sold out to the Europeans and became unrecognizable to the American consumer. Such a shame,” the singer said.
“TheBlaze reported that esteemed country music singer John Rich similarly revealed he would be ditching Bud Light at his Nashville bar following the company’s woke initiative,” TheBlaze added. He then added a poll online asking his followers, “Are you thirsty for a Bud Light now?”
After a total of 30,842 votes cast, the result was an overwhelming, “Hell Naw.”

“Conservative commentator Matt Walsh called on conservatives to band together to boycott woke businesses, suggesting that efficacy was dependent upon picking a company, ganging up on it, and making ‘an example of it,'” the report said.
“We can’t boycott every woke company or even most of them,” Walsh posted on Twitter . “But we can pick one, it hardly matters which, and target it with a ruthless boycott campaign. Claim one scalp then move onto the next.”
