It hasn’t been that long ago that if you threatened or wished death on a person, especially a sitting president, the FBI would coming a-knocking-on-your-door to ask some serious questions about your intentions.
Now, the FBI turns a blind eye, and social media and the fake-stream media just yawn and move on.
How would they react if it was an conservative commenter wishing death on sleepy ole Joe? Well, it would probably land on the 24-hour news cycle with rivers of leftist tears and much pearl clutching.
Why did Blue Beetle Director @angelmanuelsoto delete this yesterday? pic.twitter.com/Y6de5hqF8l

What am I talking about? The director of the ultra woke new entry from the failing DC movie franchise wished a Lincoln-esque fate on president Trump in a now deleted tweet. Check this out.
Most movie goers don’t know the name Angel Manuel Soto, but that may change this summer. Soto is the director of “Blue Beetle,” the latest superhero yarn from the DCEU (DC Extended Universe).
The film features a Latino hero (“Cobra Kai” alum Xolo Maridueña) and mostly Hispanic cast, and the early teases suggest the film may be among the more woke of the superhero offerings. Co-star George Lopez mutters that Batman is a “fascist” in the trailer’s waning moments.
That’s a debate for another day. What’s clear is what Soto Tweeted five years ago.
“The only thing I hope Trump has similar to Lincoln’s presidency is the way it ended.”
Five years ago or five minutes ago, that is not ok. Biden, Trump, Obama, whoever, that is not ok. You should not be able to wish assassination on a sitting president without at least ending up on an FBI watch list.
So, what happened to Soto? Apparently nothing.
That message resurfaced in recent days on social media, and the director attempted to stop its spread by deleting the original message.
What happened next? Did social media rise up and demand Soto’s firing for such a dehumanizing comment? Did Variety, The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline.com – entertainment sites that genuflect to woke sensibilities – demand action for such a vile Tweet, even though it’s nearly five years old? At least they reported on his comments, right?
Of course not.
The hypocrisy runs deep on the left. While libs want to cancel people like Gina Carson and Morgan Wallen for saying the wrong words, when leftists actually wish death on their political enemies, the media looks the other way like they have seen a squirrel.
So how does this play out? For Soto, considering no one has heard of him or the ‘Blue Beetle” that the newest fringe movie is based on, probably nothing happens. Tens of fans will flock to see another underwhelming superhero movie, Soto will fade into the ether, and we will forget about the Tweet.
Should we? Hell no! This type of hypocrisy must be remembered. When we take control of the White House, these situations must be remembered and addressed for what they are.
People like Soto that wish death on their political enemies need to be thoroughly investigated and punished under the law as applicable. We are one country, and until the left is forced to recognize that they can’t wish death on a sitting president we will never be united again.
