The NCAA basketball tournament wrapped up last weekend, and for once the ladies took center stage. The women’s tournament was compelling basketball, pitting an underdog LSU team that had a losing record two seasons ago against Iowa and Caitlyn Clark, the face of women’s basketball.
LSU ultimately prevailed in a hotly contested final, and they are expected to visit Joe Biden in the White House to see if they pass the sniff test. What wasn’t expected was Dr Jill inviting the Iowa team as well.
Traditionally the White House visit is reserved for the winning team, but Dr Jill may have inadvertently set off a firestorm with her comments about the Iowa team. Check this out.
Shannon Sharpe warns that First Lady Jill Biden wanting to invite both the LSU and Iowa women’s teams to the White House could cost her husband the 2024 election.
He says “Doctor” Jill is playing with fire by hoping the losing, predominantly white Iowa team joins the winning, predominantly black LSU team in visiting her and Joe.
Sharpe predicts such strategy will turn black voters against Biden, to a degree great enough to cost him his re-election bid.

It is debatable that the invitation will cost Joe the election, especially considering there are so many other factors. The economy, fuel costs, a world teetering on the brink of war, and runaway corruption in the White House might rank ahead of basketball, but Sharpe’s point is a fair one.
Iowa is predominantly white, while LSU is mostly black. A rich, old white lady wanting some the white kids to share the glory even though they lost might not play well with the core democrat voting base.
“Did you forget who helped put your husband in the White House? You gonna find out a very serious, hard lesson in ’24,” Sharpe proclaims.
“[Joe] will be like a Kentucky or Duke freshman. You’ll be one-and-done.”
Sharpe may be oversimplifying things, or worse, selling his people short. He is well intentioned, but if he really believes black Americans are so oblivious or uninformed on the actual issues that they will have their vote swayed by a stunt like what Dr Jill is trying to pull, then he is probably out of touch with his community.
Black folks are like anyone else. They just want to live their lives in peace, make some money, raise a family and enjoy their slice of the American dream. The fact that the left has made those few precious goals even harder to achieve should weigh more heavily on voters, black or white, than anything else.
Under Joe Biden and the democrats, life is worse for the vast majority of Americans. Black people, white people, and everyone in between knows this. The question is, will they be honest with themselves when it is time to vote again?
Jill Biden inviting a bunch of second place white girls to the White House isn’t going to lose Biden re-election, but perhaps death by a thousand cuts will. Maybe this is just one of those thousand cuts. We can only hope so.
