As the witch-hunt indictment of Donald Trump presses forward, many members of the media, political world, legal world and entertainment realm all agree on one thing. This is bull-poop.
Everyone from Mike Tyson to Chris Rock to Tucker Carlson knows this is a farce. The left, in their zeal to catch the former president in anything has made their final stand, and it likely isn’t going to end well for them or Alvin Bragg, who should be disbarred and imprisoned.
Now, former Attorney General Bill Barr is weighing in, and he isn’t being very nice to the left. Check this out.
During an interview on Fox Business on Friday, former Attorney General Bill Barr slammed far-left District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s (D) indictment of 45th President and leading 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump as an “abomination” that makes our country “look like a banana republic.”
“Based on the news reports, if they’re accurate, this is an abomination,” Barr said.
Barr is correct. There is no real crime here, so the left is manufacturing one in a desperate attempt to discredit Trump so he won’t run in 2024. That might actually be a good plan if he had committed a crime. He didn’t. Barr had this to say:
“It’s the epitome of the abuse of prosecutorial power to bring a case that would not be brought against anyone else. They are going after the man, not a crime. And the legal theory, frankly, is pathetically weak,”
“The case is held together [by] paper clips and rubber bands. It’s a lousy case, and it’s a shame. It’s a shameful episode in our history where this local prosecutor is trying to affect the political process by bringing this case,” he continued.
“This is the epitome of the abuse of the prosecutorial power to preempt political decisions and sow discord in the political process. And I think it’s going you know, we’re going to rue the day we crossed this Rubicon. There’ll be more and more of this and you know, just doesn’t end well. It doesn’t end well,” he said.
Looking at a person to find a crime rather than a crime and finding a person is straight Soviet stuff. This is not how our legal system is supposed to work.
Trump, to his credit will not go quietly. He will bring the maximum amount of attention to the case, and when he is inevitably cleared he will burn down Alvin Bragg and anyone else he can, that helped waste taxpayer money with this witch-hunt.

“It makes us look like a banana republic. And it should,” Barr added.
“Now this is New York State and New York State has been acting like a banana republic. They had that civil lawsuit against Trump and his children. That civil lawsuit brought by the state attorney general was a political hit job as well,” Barr continued.
Bill Barr is pissed. Trump is pissed. Americans are pissed. Will there be civil unrest? Definitely. Will the left call it political violence? Almost undoubtedly. Will Trump be exonerated? Count on it.
While the left might be making this country into a political third-world nightmare, we have to hope that the rule of law wins and Donald Trump comes out the other side stronger than ever.
