A teenage boy in Georgia discovered the dead bodies of both his mother and his stepfather in the driveway of the family home on Wednesday, and local law enforcement officials say the deaths were likely the result of a domestic violence incident. What a traumatic experience for a young man to go through. Please keep this kid in your prayers. He’s going to need all of the help he can get to heal from this awful situation.
According to TheBlaze, the cops revealed they responded to a call concerning a shooting at a home located near Woodington Circle, which is close to Pleasant Hill Road and Club Drive in the city of Lawrenceville at six in the morning on Wednesday.
When the police arrived on the scene, they found a man and woman dead in the driveway.
The call to authorities was made by the couple’s 15-year-old son who lives with them at the residence. What makes this situation even more harrowing is that there were two other children inside the house, the boy’s sisters, both unharmed.

Police said the three children were elementary school-aged, middle school-aged, and high school-aged.
Investigators believe that the shooting was a domestic incident and that no other person beside the man and the woman were involved. They were able to recover the weapon used in the shooting at the scene.
“We’re looking into the possibility that this could be a murder-suicide,” said Gwinnet County Police Department Sgt. Michele Pihera to WANF-TV.
One of the couples’ neighbor spoke with WANF and stated that he was heartbroken to hear what happened.
“My heart fell out this morning because for anybody to perish, to lose a loved one, I can’t imagine how they’re feeling right now. I’m hurt. I’m hurting just because he was close to me, him and his wife,” Colin Barnes stated in his interview with the outlet.
Barnes revealed that he knew the couple well and even babysat their kids.
The authorities will be waiting until the couple’s relatives have been notified before they officially release their names. They are also currently waiting to receive a ruling from the medical examiner while the investigation continues.
You really never know what is going on in the private lives of those who live close to you. This seems like a pretty normal neighborhood with your average, run-of-the-mill families. You wouldn’t guess that something so dark and sinister could be brewing beneath the surface of people you see on a daily basis and probably wave hello to in the morning or in the evening.
What’s truly sad is that whatever problems led to this situation, those responsible did not take time to stop and consider what would happen to the children. Now they will have to grow up without a mother or father in their lives. They have been robbed of countless experiences.
No doubt the psychological scars left behind by this act of selfishness will remain with each of these kids for the rest of their lives.
