Fox News Greg Gutfeld continued to defend his former coworker Tucker Carlson after multiple clips of the former host’s off-camera remarks were leaked this week by the shady “Media Matters for America” outlet.
Gutfeld took to Twitter in defense of Carlson after Media Matters leaked clips showing Carlson engaging in normal off-camera banter as if that were some shocking revelation. The left is clearly desperate and afraid of an unfettered, free Tucker Carlson, and their worst fears are likely about to be realized, especially since they are now embarrassing themselves with cheap accusations.
Gutfeld was not kind to Media Matters on Twitter. Check this out.
The Fox News host took to Twitter on Thursday to respond to a new clip from Media Matters for America that showed Carlson engaging in what Gutfeld called “casual comments” between two people who work together. “Tucker Carlson asks makeup artist if ‘pillow fights ever break out’ in the women’s bathroom in new behind-the-scenes video,” Media Matters tweeted along with a clip of the exchange.
If this is the worst dirt they have on Carlson, why bother? Anyone that has ever held a job knows that meaningless chit-chat goes on constantly. Aside from that, Tucker didn’t say anything wrong or offensive. That is unless you are trying to be offended.
Gutfeld is being kind – Media Matters are paid propagandists who represent the very worst of humanity. They cannot touch Tucker Carlson – millions see through these tactics now & they just don’t care.

Gutfeld responded with a scathing rebuke on Twitter:
“Imagine having to tell your parents that your job is narcing on the casual comments of other people while they, happily unaware, make a living,” Gutfeld snapped back. “Your parents would be so embarrassed and ashamed they’d rather tell their friends you died in a fire.”
Ouch. However, is Gutfeld wrong? It is a shameful attempt by Media Matters to besmirch Tucker Carlson for something that happens in literally every workplace. It would have been different if Carlson had actually said anything offensive, but he didn’t, and Media Matters is left looking petty and ridiculous. Gutfeld wasn’t done. The biggest question is, who is behind this? Could it be Fox?
Gutfeld hasn’t held back his thoughts on “hall monitor failures” like Media Matters and The New York Times who have been disseminating videos seemingly to damage the reputation of the popular ex-Fox News host.
“NEW FOXLEAKS: Media Matters obtained three more behind-the-scenes videos featuring former Fox host Tucker Carlson’s creepy on-set comments,” Media Matters senior fellow Matt Gertz tweeted.
Gutfeld replied, “Apparently everyone understands nonsense banter between segments except for hall monitor failures bitterly chronicling the lives of the far more successful.”
With a name like “Matt Gertz,” one probably shouldn’t be shocked at this kind of hit-piece journalism. When you can’t land a real job at a real outlet, I suppose you just take what you can get, even if it involves being a low-level tattletale.
Former Fox employee Megyn Kelly had a few thoughts during her Wednesday show as well.
“Fox News is suffering what could fairly be called a bloodbath at eight o’clock and now their entire primetime is suffering as a result of it as viewers’ anger escalates to exponential levels in the wake of this unfair treatment of their number one star,” Kelly said during her Wednesday show.
“This is absurd. OK, this is absurd,” she claimed. “This is a destruction campaign and the media is going along with it without one thought for how they’re participating in what is an internal work dispute, allowing themselves to be used as tools of Irena Briganti who runs the Fox evil communications department and her bosses who are clearly allowing all of this.”
Fox clearly is in trouble. Their ratings are somewhere below Bud Light, and Tucker Carlson is waiting in the weeds to start his next chapter, and you can bet Fox News is going to be a main topic of conversation. If Fox is behind the smear campaign from Media Matters, there may not be a Fox News after Tucker is done with them. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
