The male suspect who opened fire at a mall located in Allen, Texas over the weekend had previously served in the United States Army, however he was “removed due to mental health concerns,” back in 2008, according to information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. How many more failures of the mental health system in this country must we endure before real action is taken to reform things and prevent lunatics from carrying out acts of violence?
The left will, again, launch an all-out assault on the Second Amendment over this shooting, meanwhile, they ignore the horrific mental health system and its failings. Why? Because actually solving the problem would not give them the ability to use these mass shootings as a base for assaulting gun rights. It’s really hard to implement the wide, sweeping transformation of the republic they want to carry out if the people in this country are well armed.
“Rolling Stone obtained an FBI bulletin on the 33-year-old killer, who officials say killed at least eight people and shot seven others at the Allen Premium Outlets, which claimed that the Bureau’s “review and triage of the subject’s social media accounts revealed hundreds of postings and images to include writings with racially or ethnically motivated violent extremist rhetoric, including neo-Nazi materials and material espousing the supremacy of the white race,'” the Daily Wire reported.
The suspect’s name, according to CBS News, was Maurcio Garcia, who was 33-years-old.
“The gunman used an assault-style weapon and had multiple rounds of ammunition on his person and was wearing armored ballistic gear, the source said. The investigators are currently combing through the suspect’s social media and online accounts looking for clues to see whether he may have had links to violent extremists and like-minded individuals. Investigators are also looking at possible affiliations he may have had with prison gangs and cartel members,” CBS reported.
The Daily Wire then reported that local law enforcement believe Garcia was a “neo-Nazi and incel,” which is rather hard to believe seeing as how the man was allegedly a Latino. Not many Mexican white supremacists are there?
“Well, so listen, I know that there are a lot of, let’s say early stories about the shooter out there, what I can tell from talking to the investigators yesterday, is that people should not jump to conclusions because there’s a lot of conflicting information about him,” Texas. Gov. Greg Abbott said on Fox News Monday morning.
“Let the investigators work through the guy’s background,” he continued. “And I think that once you see more information about the guy’s background, it will reveal a little bit more about why this happened.”
Agents with the FBI raided the man’s home in Dallas on Saturday night where the suspect is reported to have lived with his mom and dad for many years. A translator was required in order to communicate with Garcia’s family.
“At 3:36 p.m. local time, a police officer was responding to a separate call at the outlet mall and heard gunfire. The officer then engaged the shooter and ‘neutralized’ the suspect before calling for emergency personnel,” the report concluded.
