Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene — or as I like to call her, the Notorious MTG — a Georgia Republican has escalated her beef with the corrupt and twisted Justice Department on Wednesday by taking action against Attorney General Merrick Garland, drafting articles of impeachment against him in a bid to have him booted from his office. And this is why we love Greene, right? She’s willing to get down in the pit and fight back against the radical progressives who are working from inside the government to destroy our beautiful nation.
“The congresswoman, sometimes called “MTG” for short, announced on Wednesday that she is moving to impeach Attorney General Merrick Garland. The move comes one day after Greene introduced similar articles of impeachment against FBI Director Christoper Wray and Matthew Graves, the U.S. attorney based in Washington, D.C.,” the Daily Wire said.
“Since Merrick Garland took over as Attorney General in March of 2021, he has completely weaponized the Department of ‘Injustice,’” Greene went on to say in a statement concerning the articles. “The politicization of the DOJ has resulted in the persecution of the left’s political enemies, and a two-tiered justice system.”
Greene’s articles of impeachment against Garland accuse him of failing to discharge the duties of his office by not upholding his oath and betraying the trust of American citizens by not faithfully executing the laws of the U.S. “without partisan bias.”
While it’s absolutely awesome to see MTG taking a bold stand against corruption and evil, the actual chances of the impeachment happening are not all that great. Even if the articles pass through the House, which is currently controlled by the GOP — by a very thin margin — a conviction is unlikely to happen thanks to Democrats being control of the Senate.
“Now in her second term in the House, Greene previously introduced articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden and co-sponsored articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, efforts which have not been successful,” the report said. But hey, she’s at least trying to fight back against the radical left, which is more than can be said for the establishment hacks hanging back in the shadows of the current GOP.
“In her latest articles of impeachment, Greene accused Garland of using the FBI as ‘a Federal police force to punish or intimidate anyone who questions or opposes the current regime.’ She listed several specific grievances against the attorney general, including the alleged persecution of former President Donald Trump — now a 2024 presidential candidate facing criminal investigations by federal investigators and others. Greene, a vocal advocate for January 6 defendants, also faulted Garland for going after Americans ‘participating in political protest,'” the Daily Wire noted.
“Merrick Garland has weaponized the DOJ against Joe Biden’s political enemies. He’s targeted parents who are concerned about their children’s education, targeted Christians and pro-life activists & raided the home of a President. He must be impeached,” Greene commented in a tweet.
We have plenty of incidents and evidence to indicate that the FBI and other agencies that fall under the DOJ’s purview have been used as weapons to silence the political opposition to the current administration. And we’ve seen that the FBI has been used as a shield to protect President Joe Biden and his family from scrutiny concerning potential allegations of running an influence peddling scheme. It’s time for the corruption to be removed from the DOJ so we can work toward once again having a fair and balanced justice system.
