Ever since Joe Biden snuck into office, he has declared an open war on American energy. He has largely been successful, as gas prices have skyrocketed, home heating costs are insane, and America has never been more dependent on Middle Eastern oil.
This all happened after President Trump had delivered unprecedented gains in America’s energy sector. We were energy independent for the first time, gas and oil were at the lowest point since the 90s, the strategic reserve was full, and the American economy was humming.
Now, we stand on the brink of an economic collapse, and Joe Biden has decided to target your home heating choices with his out of touch policies. After declaring war on gas powered stoves, Biden is taking on your furnace. Check this out.
The Biden administration is expected to soon finalize regulations restricting which home gas-powered furnaces consumers are able to purchase in the future.
According to experts, the regulations — proposed in June 2022 by the Department of Energy (DOE) — would restrict consumer choice, drive prices higher and likely have a low impact on greenhouse gas emissions. The agency could finalize the rules targeting residential gas furnaces, which more than 50% of American households rely on for space heating, at any point over the upcoming weeks.

This is just another stunning example of big government overreach. It should be no ones concern how a person heats their home, especially the government. To be told what kind of furnace we are “allowed” to have in our home is unconscionable. Yet, the Democrats take every opportunity to stick their noses in where they don’t belong, and their hands in our pockets.
“The efficiency standard would effectively outlaw non-condensing furnaces and condensing alternatives would be the only ones available,” Lieberman said. “Those are more efficient, but they cost more. And installation costs could be a big problem for some houses that are not compatible with condensing furnaces.”
Considering most experts believe the benefit to the environment is negligible, why pass such stringent regulations? One word. Control. The left wants to control every aspect of American life.
Aside from having almost no benefit, the installation and modification costs will be staggering. Good thing working class people have so much more money to spend on useless regulations!
“They’re going to have to, in many cases, install new equipment to exhaust gas out of their home. These higher efficiency units, or so-called condensing units — a lot of consumers have them in their home, but a lot of consumers don’t. So, this rule would require additional retrofits for a lot of consumers. And those retrofits can be extremely cost prohibitive.”
With the DOE unveiling new standards for various appliances such as gas stoves, ovens, clothes washers, refrigerators, air conditioners and dishwashers, there is no end in sight for this egregious, useless overreach. The Democrats want to run every aspect of your household, while charging you more money to do it. All so their green energy friends can get rich.
It is a shameful mess from a shameful administration, and if we can’t flip this back in 2024, it’s only going to get worse.
