An investigation into President Joe Biden’s wayward son, Hunter Biden, is set to fade into the mists due to a new plea deal being reached with prosecutors, once again proving there’s a two-tiered system of justice in the United States. Hey, if you have the right last name, coupled with the right political party affiliation, you can pretty much do whatever you want and get away with it. Must be nice to be so privileged.
According to The Western Journal, Hunter Biden is going to plead guilty to two federal charges of willfully failing to pay his income taxes, according to court documents that were turned in by federal prosecutors on Tuesday.
“NBC News, citing what it said were sources who had seen the full plea agreement, said U.S. Attorney for Delaware David Weiss will recommend that Hunter Biden be sentenced to probation for the two tax crimes,” the report said. “The filing said Biden has agreed to enter a pretrial diversion agreement to resolve a charge of possession of a gun by a drug user or drug addict.”
A report published by the New York Times revealed that the conditions of the deal are that Hunter would be drug-free for two years and would agree to never own a firearm again. I highly doubt he will ever be able to abide by either of these rules. And it won’t matter, because even if he’s caught violating the conditions, nothing will happen. A new deal will be made for the sake of appearances and that will be all.
Hunter Biden’s criminal defense lawyer, Chris Clark, put out a statement to NBC News that stated it was his “understanding that the five-year investigation into Hunter is resolved.”
“Hunter will take responsibility for two instances of misdemeanor failure to file tax payments when due pursuant to a plea agreement,” Clark explained. “A firearm charge, which will be subject to a pretrial diversion agreement and will not be the subject of the plea agreement, will also be filed by the Government.”
“I know Hunter believes it is important to take responsibility for these mistakes he made during a period of turmoil and addiction in his life. He looks forward to continuing his recovery and moving forward,” he added.
Weiss’s office also put out a statement saying, “Hunter Biden received taxable income in excess of $1,500,000 annually in calendar years 2017 and 2018. Despite owing in excess of $100,000 in federal income taxes each year, he did not pay the income tax due for either year.”
To say that folks were not happy with this outcome would be an understatement.
“Hunter Biden pleading guilty to a gun charge and misdemeanor tax charges with no jail time is a stunt to make him look like he is just cooperating with the [Department of Justice],” GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican, posted Tuesday on Twitter.
“Meanwhile,” she continued in the post, “the pathetic and weaponized DOJ who protects their puppet President and refuses to prosecute Joe Biden and Hunter for taking bribes from Ukrainian oligarchs and raking in tens of millions of dollars from foreign countries bc the Big Guy makes policy decisions to be help his customers are the real crimes the Biden’s should be charged with!”

“Wow! The corrupt Biden DOJ just cleared up hundreds of years of criminal liability by giving Hunter Biden a mere ‘traffic ticket,’” former President Donald Trump stated in a post published on his Truth Social account.

Once again, a Democrat breaks the law and gets away with a slap on the wrist. I’m not even sure you can call what Hunter Biden was given a reprimand, let alone a punishment or corrective action. Our justice system needs an enema.
