Ever since all of the madness with transgenderism started, conservative voices have raised various concerns surrounding the phenomenon, one of them being the placement of biological males who identify as females in women’s prisons. And in most cases where this has happened, it has resulted in extreme violence against the female inmates housed in these facilities.
According to The Daily Wire, a now infamous triple murderer, a biological man, is claiming he’s a woman, and is now being sent to a female facility in the state of California this month. What could possibly go wrong, right?
Dana Rivers, who was previously known by the name David Warfield, 68, was convicted back in November of the triple murders of Charlotte Reed, Patricia Wright — a lesbian couple in their late 50s — and 19-year-old Benny Diambu-Wright, in Oakland, California back in 2016.
“The bodies of both women were found stabbed and shot with a .38 revolver, and the body of their son was found in the street with gunshot wounds. Shortly after police arrived, Rivers walked out of the house, covered in blood and reeking of gasoline. Police searched the suspect and found bullets and brass knuckles,” the report said. “Rivers was charged with three counts of first-degree murder as well as arson for dousing the garage with gasoline and setting it on fire, an apparent attempt to destroy the evidence of the murders.”

Rivers was initially being held at Santa Rita Jail, which is located roughly 40 minutes north of San Jose. Rivers received a life sentence without parole on June 14. Just two days later, Rivers was taken to the Central California Women’s Facility, which is located in the city of Chowchilla.
In what is no surprise to anyone familiar with the progressive silliness that has come to define the state of California, the state is pretty loose when it comes to allowing male inmates identifying as transgender to be incarcerated in women’s prisons. Since 2021, a total of 47 biologically male prisoners who claim to be female have been transferred to women’s facilities, according to a Washington Free Beacon report that was published back in January.
Female prisoners have come forward and made claims that they were sexually assaulted by transgender-identifying male prisoners and have filed lawsuits against the prison system in California.
Female activists who are against transgender men identifying as women being placed in female prisons were furious. And rightly so. While the women who are locked up have committed crimes and most assuredly deserve to be in prison, they are human beings who have the right to feel safe and not be assaulted by men pretending to be women who have been placed in their facilities.
Kara Dansky, who has been a very vocal protester against Rivers’ potential transfer to a women’s prison for months, stated she thinks the murders that were committed by Rivers should be considered hate crimes against female victims who were a married lesbian couple.
“There was something truly vile about the way this was carried out and his obvious hatred of her. My feeling from knowledge of the case is that he killed her because he couldn’t be her and he shouldn’t be in prison with other women,” Dansky stated, according to a report published by the New York Post.
“Amie Ichikawa, an activist who herself served five years in the same prison as Rivers for a drug deal gone wrong, agreed that Rivers committed a hate crime and said female inmates are scared of trans-identifying men,” the Daily Wire continued.
“They get very anxious when a [trans-identifying man] gets processed in,” Ichikawa went on to say. “Even when they’re post-op, if they get mad they go right back to angry man mode.”
Rivers is no stranger to being in the media, having been a headline on multiple occasions since the 1990s.
“In 1999, back when he was David Warfield, Rivers was fired from his teaching position at Center High School north of Sacramento after he talked to students about his plans to undergo a sex change. Rivers told school district officials he was planning to have a sex-change operation and go on cross-sex hormones over the summer and return to teach in the fall as a woman,” the Daily Wire said, recounting Rivers’ past.
“I’m not some freak,” Rivers said to the school paper. Well, I mean, I guess that depends on how you define the term. Someone who murders innocent people, assaults others, and performs all manner of crimes against the innocent is most certainly not normal.
At first, the school board had crafted a letter that was sent to parents informing them about Rivers’ sex change, however they explained that he was a tenured teacher who had a very positive performance record, stating the matter was out of their hands. After parents voiced their outrage concerning Rivers holding private conversations with students about the sex change procedure he was due to have, the school finally gave him the boot.
“That wasn’t the end of the story, though. Rivers sued Center High School over his termination, which catapulted him into international news. A glowing profile by the Los Angeles Times at the time declared that Warfield was ‘the teacher who helped low achievers turn it around’ before he ‘became a woman,'” the report revealed.
In November of 1999, Rivers decided to step down from his post….after being given a settlement of $150,000.
“Rivers was thought by many to have become an enforcer for an all-female biker club called the Deviants, which was associated with the infamous gang Hell’s Angels, according to prosecutors in the murder case. Rivers went by the nickname ‘Edge’ and had tattoos indicating he was a ‘1 percenter,’ a reference to the supposedly small percentage of motorcycle clubs that are criminal,” the Daily Wire continued.
One of the victims Rivers murdered used to be a member of the Deviants.
The woman met Rivers at the Veterans Affairs Center, where he — a veteran with the Navy — was seeking assistance for mental health issues. They quickly became friends. The woman then had a short stint with the biker club before quitting. The Deviants then started to threaten her. Not long after that Rivers murdered her, her lesbian partner, and her son.
The activists fighting against Rivers’ transfer to a female prison are still fighting against the decision.
“It’s not over. We will never stop fighting,” Dansky posted on Twitter.
