Conservative commentator and Editor Emeritus of the Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro, issued a heart-felt thank you to billionaire owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, after he admitted that his company made a huge mistake when it took down the company’s controversial but absolutely necessary documentary by fellow commentator Matt Walsh, “What Is A Woman?” over alleged “misgendering.”
What this reveals is that there are still a number of individuals employed at Twitter who are dedicated to the progressive agenda and are willing to use censorship to prevent people from hearing truth that goes against their twisted set of beliefs and ideology. Hopefully, this is something that Musk himself will address going forward. However, it is definitely encouraging him to practice what he preaches when it comes to free speech. Maybe conservatives do have a major ally in the fight to protect the First Amendment.
The news outlet reported, “Twitter labeled the documentary as ‘hateful conduct’ and restricted its visibility, but a few hours before its release, Musk took to Twitter to insist that the censorship had been a mistake. At issue was a father referring to his own daughter with feminine pronouns despite her identifying as transgender, and a storeowner addressing a hulking city councilman who also claimed to be female with a masculine pronoun.”
Early on Friday, the Twitter tag that restricted the visibility of the documentary was gone, which allowed the platform’s users to both like and retweet the film. Musk himself tweeted it out to all of his 140 million followers. That’s massive. A whole bunch of individuals who need to see the film will be confronted with how ridiculous and absolutely insane the current transgender movement really is, hopefully shaking them awake and convincing others to start battling against the confusion that is ruining lives all over the world.
“Thanks, [Elon Musk]! Overnight, visibility limits on the movie have been removed. Elon continues to work to make good on his pledge to keep Twitter an open platform!” Shapiro stated in a post sent out to his almost six million followers.

“Shapiro had previously called out Twitter and Musk, asking the billionaire to take action and back up his commitment to free speech principles,” the report said.
“This behavior by Twitter corporate directly opposes [Musk’s] commitment to free speech, and I sincerely hope he does something about it,” the Daily Wire host went on to say.
The popular pundit noted on Thursday that the social media company was still placing limits on the reach of the documentary, even after Musk came forward and said it was wrong for the company to censor it.
“Twitter is now visibility limiting ‘What Is A Woman?’ as premiering on Daily Wire’s Twitter page,” Shapiro said. “They did it within seconds of its premiere. It cannot be RTed. Nothing has been fixed.”
A whole bunch of backlash flooded Twitter and the platform decided to lift the restrictions on “What Is A Woman?” and now millions of individuals have watched it. And that, my friends, is awesome.
“The documentary released last summer was watched by people in over 70 countries, even as legacy media reviewers ignored the film and its effect on the culture. Soon after its release, ‘What is a Woman?’ became the most-watched movie at home, according to Rotten Tomatoes, which also showed that audiences scored the film with a 97% rating,” the Daily Wire concluded.
