It’s very unusual to ever hear a Democrat actually speak the truth, especially about their colleagues in the party, particularly Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, the president and vice president respectively, but that’s precisely what we’re getting from 86-year-old Dennis DeConcini, who once served as a Senator for Arizona in an article published by NBC on Tuesday.
“Democrats just don’t have any choice and it’s so difficult,” the former senator wrote. “He’s too old. So am I. What I tell people is in comparison to Trump, he’s a decent guy. He may be too old and stumble a little bit. The problem, in my opinion, is the Democrats really have a problem if he didn’t run because [Vice President] Kamala Harris — I don’t think she could be elected.”
“We’re kind of stuck with Biden because of that,” he went on to state in the article. Just to make it clear, Biden himself wears the crown for being the oldest president to serve in the history of our nation. If he were to win a second term, he would be 86 at the end. If his health holds out and he were to make that far. I mean, being in your eighties is fraught with peril for any person, let alone someone with the most stressful job on earth.
“Polls show Biden’s age has been a concern for a majority of Americans. Seventy-seven percent believe he is too old to govern effectively, according to an Associated Press/NORC poll. 61% say he likely wouldn’t make it through another term in office, according to a poll by Harvard Caps/Harris,” the Daily Caller said.
Biden has been facing a lot of criticism due to his age ever since he took office and for good reason. Watch some videos of speeches and talks he’s delivered throughout his administration. He mumbles incoherently a lot, trips and falls frequently, and seems to live in a near constant state of confusion. He appears weak and pathetic, which is not a good look for a global super power.
The president recently attempted to say that his being older than dirt means he has a lot of wisdom. Well, if that’s true, how come we haven’t seen any of it yet? We’re three years in, man, stop holding back. Truth is, wisdom is completely absent from any character trait he possesses.
“Someone said, ‘You know, that Biden, he’s getting old,’” Biden stated on Monday during his Labor Day address.
“Well guess what. Guess what … the only thing that comes with age is a little bit of wisdom,” he added. “I’ve been doing this longer than anybody, and guess what, I’m going to continue to do it, with your help.”
Wrong. Something else often comes along with age.
Dementia.
The president then asked voters to decide whether or not he’s fit for duty at the ballot box next year. We will. And, barring some strange occurrences, the overwhelming answer to that question will be “no.”
“With regard to age, I can’t even say, I guess how old I am. I can’t even say the number,” Biden remarked back in April. “It doesn’t register with me. But the only thing I can say is that one of the things that people are going to find out is, they’re going to see a race, and they’re going to judge, whether or not I have it or don’t have it. I respect them taking a hard look at it. I’d take a hard look at it as well. I took a hard look at it before I decided to run.”
