Podcast host Megyn Kelly, formerly of Fox News, just made a huge announcement concerning her program that will most definitely have people talking, especially conservatives. Kelly has revealed she’s all set to conduct an interview with former President Donald Trump for the very first time since the two had a massive falling out during the 2016 presidential election. The announcement was made on Thursday.
The interview is scheduled for Sept. 14 on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” and will feature the first on-air conversation between the two individuals in seven years. Kelly has, according to the Daily Caller, already conducted interviews with several other GOP candidates for president, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and even Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
“Next week, I’ll be interviewing former President Donald Trump. It will be my first interview with the former president in seven years and there’s so much to get to. I’m really looking forward to this,” Kelly stated in her announcement. “It’s gonna be great. It’s gonna be spicy and it’s gonna be tough, but it’s gonna be good and hopefully we’re both gonna enjoy it. I think you’re all gonna enjoy it too. We’re gonna have a lot of time for a variety of topics in person, sitting down with him in person.”

Things between Trump and Kelly have been a bit, shall we say, bumpy, in the past, mostly due to statements the former president made during a Republican Party debate held in 2015, which she helped moderate alongside Fox News host Bret Baier and now former host Chris Wallace.
“You’ve called women you don’t like ‘fat pigs,’ ‘dogs,’ ‘slobs’ and ‘disgusting animals,’” Kelly remarked during the debate.
“Only Rosie O’Donnell,” Trump replied quickly.
In January 2016, Trump told pundit Bill O’Reilly that he had “zero respect” for Kelly and then leveled accusations of mistreatment against Fox News.
The reality is, Trump has a tendency to be a bit childish when held to account for careless words he says. I mean, we all, from time-to-time, say things like that, so he’s hardly alone. But we aren’t running for president. Well, most of us aren’t. Everything you say can be used against you when you have the whole world watching and listening to every single word that comes out of your mouth.
However, the former president has gotten a whole lot better at that side of the political game, which has made him far more effective today than he was in 2015 at getting his message across.
And there have been several conversations in private between Kelly and Trump who have officially buried the hatchet. I think they will get along great this time around. And Kelly is a good journalist. She’ll ask Trump the tough questions Americans want answered. This will no doubt be a win for both.
What’s outstanding is that Trump is still fighting, still campaigning, despite all of the garbage being launched at him by the left. No doubt he’s getting more and more support than ever before, making him a bigger threat to the progressive agenda than he was during his first term in the White House.
