A brand new report has revealed that prior to the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks on Israel perpetrated by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, members of the organization were trained in Iran, which has an established reputation for being a state-sponsor of radical terrorism around the globe. This confirmation comes from The Wall Street Journal in a piece published by the outlet on Wednesday.
“Officers of the Quds Force, the foreign-operations arm of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), trained about 500 militants from Hamas and an aligned terrorist group, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Journal reported, citing people familiar with intelligence related to the assault. Senior Palestinian officials and Iranian Brig. Gen. Esmail Qaani, the head of Quds Force, also attended,” Newsmax stated.
The slaughter led by religious zealots who comprise Hamas murdered over 1,400 individuals in Israel during the attack, which is the worst single day of death since the Holocaust. Along with all of the dead, Hamas took over 200 hostages back to Gaza, only releasing a few since the incident occurred earlier this month.
“Since the terrorist attack, Israel has bombarded Gaza through aerial strikes, and it has been preparing for a major ground assault to root out Hamas terrorists and rescue hostages,” Newsmax continued. “The Wall Street Journal, citing senior Hamas and Hezbollah officials, has reported the Quds Force helped plan the attack and gave the green light during a meeting in Beirut on Oct. 2 with leaders of Hamas and Hezbollah, which is also backed by Iran. The Journal reported this was corroborated by an adviser to the Syrian government and a European official.”
Officials from the U.S. government say that Iran has been regularly training radical militants, but they do not have information that confirms this was the case before the Oct. 7th attacks. I don’t know what it is about this particular denial, but I, for one, don’t buy it. I think it’s pretty obvious Hamas terrorists were trained by Iran along with being provided with weapons to carry out the assault. Palestine and Hamas don’t have the financial resources to procure the kind of equipment that was used to rein down terror on the Israelis.
“This sort of operation is very difficult to do without Hezbollah and IRGC support. Hamas does not have the capability to do that,” Saeid Golkar, an IRGC expert at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, told the Journal.
One theory to explain how Hamas came by the financial resources to carry out these attacks is that the payment made by President Joe Biden in September to free hostages allowed the Iranian government to free up other cash resources that they sent to Hamas to help pay for the material items they needed for the assault. That would make total sense, and is one of many reasons why we as a country never used to negotiate with terrorists.
You see, by giving in and negotiating like both Biden and Obama have done, it creates a sort of black market business for hostage taking. It emboldens radicals to continue taking more and more individuals prisoner, knowing they can get big bucks for their capture and release. We need to return to our former policy before more victims are created.
