Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts blew a casket on Sunday over a hypothetical monopoly over buying sandwich companies. Because there’s nothing more important facing the country at the moment that needs to be discussed. Border crisis? What are you even talking about? Inflation? Crime wave? That’s just propaganda pushed by tinfoil hat wearing conservatives working for fake news outlets!
Insert an eye roll here.
“We don’t need another private equity deal that could lead to higher food prices for consumers. The @FTC is right to investigate whether the purchase of @SUBWAY by the same firm that owns @jimmyjohns and @McAlistersDeli creates a sandwich shop monopoly,” Warren stated in a post published on X.

When she’s not faking her membership in Native American tribes, Warren apparently spends her time crusading on behalf of all Americans everywhere and their right to freedom of choice when it comes to buying sandwiches. I can’t possibly think of a better cause for the Massachusetts senator to take part in, can you?
Check out more details from the Daily Caller:
The Massachusetts politician referenced the decision by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to open an investigation over the purchase of Subway. The FTC is investigating Roark Capital after it purchased many fast food franchises like Subway, Jimmy John’s, Arby’s and other such sandwich-related companies, Politico reported. Roark Capital bought Subway back in August for around $10 billion, the outlet noted.
Under the mergers, Roark Capital would control among the largest U.S. sandwich chains based on August 2022 sales of Subway, Arby’s, Jimmy John’s, and McAlister’s Deli, QSR Magazine noted. The chain would control over 40,000 restaurants in the U.S.- three times more than McDonalds, New York Post reported.
Warren faced some criticism online following her remarks. “Big Sandwich must not win!,” an account by the name of Not Jim Cramer joked.

“You’re kidding right? We are talking about sandwiches here. How can a company corner the market or create a monopoly on something anyone can make at home?,” investor Chart Westcott said.
This new economic crisis is as imaginary as her claim that she was part of the Cherokee Nation. Why in the world does anyone still care what this woman has to say about anything? She’s an opportunist, a career politician who got into public service to get rich and be someone important. I don’t know if she’s succeeded in the first goal, but she most definitely failed in the second one.
Warren’s legacy will be nothing more than a joke, focused on all of her bogus claims being exposed and how foolish she looked in her attempt to connect with regular, everyday Americans.
Remember that cringy stream she did where she drank a beer to look cool, hip, and like “one of us?’ That was so awkward and unnatural, it made her look even more disconnected from real people. It’s time for her to call it a day, Massachusetts. Vote someone into that seat who actually has a brain and knows how to use it, preferably in the defense of liberty.
