Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams is now facing allegations of sexual assault in a legal filing that was put in late on Wednesday evening in the state Supreme Court of Manhattan. Are the people of New York not capable of electing a public official to oversee the city or state who isn’t somehow a raging pervert? Have we all forgotten about the sexual harassment allegations that plagued the end of NY Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s time in public office? He later resigned as a result of the pressure applied to him in light of the plethora of stories that came out detailing his creepy sexual advances toward women he worked with.
Guess it’s Adams’ turn to face the heat.
According to the Daily Caller:
The plaintiff, who remains anonymous, accused Adams of sexually assaulting her in 1993 and did not reveal any details about the alleged incident in the three-paged filing, according to the Messenger. The document also names the New York Police Department and the Guardian Association as defendants.
“Plaintiff was sexually assaulted by Defendant Eric Adams in New York, New York in 1993 while they both worked for the City of New York,” the summons reads. A spokesperson at the Big Apple’s City Hall said Adams does “not recall” ever meeting the woman making these allegations, the Messenger reported.

The summons was filed under The Adult Survivors Act, a law that went into effect in November 2022 to give individuals a one-year window to file lawsuits about alleged sexual assault incidents that may have been restricted by the statute of limitations. The law expires on November 23, 2023.
Crazy enough, this isn’t the only legal trouble Adams is currently facing. The Federal Bureau of Investigation recently conducted a raid on the home of his campaign’s chief fundraiser, Brianna Suggs, to look into whether or not they took illegal donations from Turkey. An agent who works for the public corruption squad conducted an interview with Suggs as part of the raid, however she was not taken into custody.
The day following the raid, the agents inquired about cellphones belonging to the mayor and his iPad after approaching him on the street.
Donations appeared to have been received by a construction company in Brooklyn known as KSK Construction Group, whose employees donated $14,000 to his 2021 campaign, and Bay Atlantic University, a Turkish-owned institution in Washington, D.C., which has been affiliated with Adams for several years.
Rather than do what the left-wing media does anytime someone accuses a Republican of something untoward, I’m not going to assume he’s guilty until evidence is gathered that proves that to be the case. In America, you’re innocent until proven guilty and have the guaranteed right in the Constitution to a fair trial by your peers. We’ll have to wait and see the fruit of the investigation into both the campaign donations scandal and the sexual assault allegations.
One thing’s for sure. The optics on all of this are very, very bad, especially when you’re approval rating is already not good.
