A total of 30 students decided that what twice-failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had to say during her class at Columbia University on Wednesday was not nearly as important as making a statement about the school’s response to pro-Palestinian protests, according to reports from both the New York Times and the Daily Caller. Because it’s cool and hip these days to back radical terrorists who murder innocent people in cold blood and behead their children, duh.
“Students at Columbia University held pro-Palestinian rallies following the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel, and over 300 faculty members signed a letter condemning antisemitic incidents on campus. Students walked out of Clinton’s class to demand ‘immediate legal support for affected students’ and ‘a commitment to student safety, well being and privacy’ for students who participated in protests after a ‘doxxing’ truck with their names circled campus, according to the Times,” the report revealed.
“The students protesting thought that the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) Dean Keren Yarhi-Milo and Clinton would walk past them after class, but they never did, and the students later found out they had left through a side door, according to the Times,” the Daily Caller continued.
Clinton first partnered with Columbia in February of this year as a professor at SIPA, along with being a Presidential Fellow at Columbia Worlds Project. The course the former secretary of state teaches, along with Yarhi-Milo, is called “Inside the Situation Room,” which provides students with a deeper look at how international relations decisions are reached using case studies.
Believe it or not, when the Hamas attacks against Israel first happened, Clinton took a very pro-Israel stance, wasting no time in denouncing individuals who were calling for a ceasefire while holding a moderated conversation with former U.S. Secretary of State James A. Baker III.
“People who are calling for a ceasefire now do not understand Hamas. That is not possible,” Clinton went on to say. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but she’s right. You cannot reason with Hamas. They are religious radicals, zealots who are convinced that they must bring about the end of days by starting a global war. They also believe, as Allah commands in their holy writings, that the People of the Book — Jews, Christians — are to be wiped out. No peace can be had with these people.
Here’s more from the DC:
Multiple pro-Palestinian student groups at other elite universities put out statements blaming Israel for the terrorist attacks, including at Harvard University and Yale University. Harvard, Columbia and the University of Pennsylvania created taskforces recently to address the rise of antisemitism on their campuses following the terrorist attacks.
How sad is it that this attack did not bring any sort of unity among the people of our nation? We should have all been able to agree what Hamas did when it slaughtered 1,400 civilians was absolutely horrid in every way. But due to the mental illness of progressivism, many actually feel Hamas are the heroes of the story. This is how twisted the left has people in modern society.
