If you don’t think there are demonic forces that exists in the unseen realm, I don’t know how else you can possibly think what happened in Ohio on Tuesday at the ballot box can be explained. One of the issues that was on the ballot was adding abortion as a right to the state Constitution, and by some horrific twist of fate, it passed. That means a majority of people in Ohio want to have the right to murder their pre-born children if they so choose. Folks, this is the shedding of innocent blood, all for the sake of having sexual pleasure without consequences and so men and women can do what they want without it impacting their financial bottom line.
Again, I ask you, how is that not demonic?
I get that humans on their own are capable of great evil, but for this many people to be this deeply deceived, I have to think there is something else at work. After all, the devil is called the father of lies, right? That would seem fitting here.
“Pro-life advocates say the measure will effectively make abortion legal at any point in pregnancy. The initiative brought in millions in spending with more than $18 million being spent in favor of the pro-abortion initiative, with just $7 million being spent in opposition since August 9, according to NBC News,” the Daily Wire stated.
“Our hearts are broken tonight not because we lost an election, but because Ohio families, women and children will bear the brunt of this vote. When Michigan voters passed a similar amendment last year, they were sold the lie that parental rights would be unaffected, that late-term abortion would remain illegal, and that women’s health and safety standers would not be touched. But just last week, the Michigan legislature voted to repeal penalties for partial-birth abortions, to eliminate health and safety protections at abortion facilities, and they called parental consent laws ‘unconstitutional.’ They even vowed to come for informed consent laws and 24-hour waiting periods next. We know the same barbaric attacks on parents and children are now coming home to Ohio,” Protect Women Ohio explained in a statement posted to X after the vote took place.
A number of other pro-life organizations put out statements following the vote, including Jor-El Godsey, who is the president of the pro-life organization known as Heartbeat International.
“Big Abortion won, while women, parents, and babies lost. Women lost common-sense protections. Parents have lost the ability to be involved in a key, and dangerous, component of their child’s medical and emotional health. And babies have been denied their bodily autonomy to grow as God intended. The work of pregnancy help will now be the only thing that can help women from the entrapment of the abortion profiteers,”Godsey said.
“The effort to put abortion into the state constitution was backed by the Ohio Democratic Party, the ACLU of Ohio, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio, and Ohio Women’s Alliance. Martin Haskell, a proponent of partial-birth abortion, gave $100,000 to Ohio Physicians for Reproductive Rights, a political action committee that opposed a Republican-backed measure that would have made it more difficult to amend the state constitution and has advocated for passage of Issue 1,” the DW reported.
Our founding fathers, clearly smarter and more morally upright individuals than most of us today, pointed out that a free society is one that is built upon righteousness. How does one define righteousness? Well, you have to look toward an outside source of objective morality, which can only come from an all-knowing, all-powerful, eternal, pre-existing entity. We know Him as God. God’s law provides all the principles we need to build our own societies.
However, in order to retain liberty, people have to be righteous and moral. This is the real reason this country is dying. It’s not politics. That’s just the outflow of our culture’s collective heart. No, it’s the lack of righteousness. The desire to kill children for our own benefit, so we can enjoy pleasure with zero responsibility. It’s the sin, which is being normalized in schools, colleges, movies, music, and entertainment, that is eroding the foundation on which America was built.
Until national repentance becomes a thing, God blessing America doesn’t seem likely.
