Former President Donald Trump came out with both proverbial guns blazing on Thursday, unleashing a can of sheer brutality on President Joe Biden in light of the Colorado Supreme Court ruling that has banned him from being placed on the 2024 GOP primary ballot due to his alleged involvement in the Capitol incursion that occurred on Jan. 6, 2021. This, of course, is just another facet of the weaponization of the legal system in our country to try and take down the president’s biggest political rival, which is why it is critical for Trump to fight against it tooth and nail.
That likely means going above the state Supreme Court, taking the case to the highest court in the whole country to get a finalized ruling on whether or not the decision is binding.
Biden recently spoke with reporters where he said that Trump, “certainly supported an insurrection,” while on his way to a campaign event in Wisconsin, adding, “No question about it. None. Zero.”
I highly doubt Biden can even spell “insurrection,” so his opinion on the matter is useless.
Check out more information from Newsmax:
Colorado’s high court ruled Trump ineligible Tuesday based on Section 3 of the 14thAmendment that disqualifies from office those who engaged in insurrection against the Constitution after taking an oath to support it. Trump has never been charged with insurrection and he is appealing the ruling to the U.S. Supreme Court.
“I’m not an Insurrectionist (‘PEACEFULLY & PATRIOTICALLY’),” Trump posted on Truth Social, referring to his speech Jan. 6 in which he encouraged supporters to “peacefully and patriotically” march to the Capitol building. “Crooked Joe Biden is!!!”
Biden did not share his opinion on the Colorado court ruling but said it was “self-evident” Trump supported an insurrection.
“Certain things are self-evident,” Biden said. “You saw it all. Now, whether the 14th Amendment applies, I’ll let the court make that decision.”
Ever since the news broke about the court’s decision to ban Trump, people have flooded to social media platforms to share their thoughts either for or against this controversial decision.
One person who thought the world need to hear from her was “The View” co-host Joy Behar, who ended up getting torn to shreds for sharing her opinion on the situation. This woman never knows when to shut up.
Responding to a statement posted on X/Twitter by former presidential candidate Joe Walsh that said he believes the insurrection ban will be overturned by the Supreme Court, saying, “Joe, the ballot box can’t compete with the third party candidates who will take votes from Joe Biden. And let us not forget the electoral college. The law must defeat him.”
Many users on the platform pointed out the absurdity of her statement, with one individual posting, “‘Save democracy by using the courts to eliminate a candidate!’ — is an odd take.”
Another person on X said that this will likely just create more Trump voters in the long run.
“I love it when you people expose who you are. You are everything you fear in Trump,” another user wrote, according to Fox News. “Keep posting. It builds the #WalkAway movement. Thanks again. It was people like you that made me dig deeper and see the lies.”
