Hulk Hogan, probably the most well known and legendary professional wrestler of all-time, was baptized this week at a church located in his home state of Florida, calling the event, and the dedication of his life to the Lord Jesus Christ, the “greatest day” of his life. Guys, this is so awesome. I grew up in the 80s as a huge pro-wrestling fan and the Hulkster was my favorite, just like most boys my age. To see him dedicate his life to Christ and get baptized is truly inspiring. Jesus can save anyone, no matter their background or way of life.
Check out the details of Hogan’s conversion via the Daily Wire:
Hogan, 70, posted photos to his social media accounts on Wednesday of his baptism at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida.
“Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life,” Hogan stated on social media, sharing images and video of his baptism. “No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love!”

Earlier this year, Hogan posted details about his journey in the Christian faith on his social media accounts.
“I accepted Christ as my savior at 14yrs old, and the training, prayers and vitamins kept me in the game but now that I am one with God, the main event theme of surrender, service and love makes me the Real Main Event that can slam any giant of any size through the power of my Lord and Savior and so it is, even now brother, AMEN!” he said in the post.

Hogan has also posted Bible verses on his social media accounts and wears a T-shirt with John 3:16 on it, which states: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Earlier this month, another major media figure came forward publicly to dedicate his life to his Christian faith. Latin rapper Daddy Yankee, whose real name is Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez, announced at the start of the month that he was retiring from his highly successful musical career to embark on “a new beginning” spreading the Gospel.
The singer made the announcement in the middle of a concert that was held on December 4, then posted the video on his social media accounts, which have over 100 million followers.
“This day for me is the most important of my life… tonight I recognize and I am not ashamed to tell the whole world that Christ lives in me and that I will live for him,” he said in the post’s caption. “This is the end of one chapter and the beginning of a completely new one.”
Rodriguez also addressed the crowd in Puerto Rico at a concert held at The Coliseo de Pureto Rico Jose where he said, “For many years, I’ve tried filling a void in my life that no one could fill. I tried finding a purpose, on many occasions it seemed as if I was happy, but something was missing for me to feel complete.”
“I have to confess that those days are over and someone was able to fill that void that I felt for a lot of time. I realized that for everyone I was someone, but I was no one without him,” he added. “Throughout the years, I was able to travel the world, win many awards, applause, and praise, but I realized something that’s in the Bible: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
“A chapter has ended but a new one will begin,” the singer said to the crowd. “All the tools that I have in my power, like music, social media, platforms, a microphone, everything that God has given me is now for his kingdom. Thank you, Puerto Rico, and I hope you walk with me in this new beginning and I hope you remember something very important: Don’t follow any person. I am human. To all the people who follow me, follow Jesus Christ, he’s the way, the truth, and the life.”
Amen and amen!
When you look at all of the chaos exploding around us in our culture today, we are in desperate need of objective truth and reality, an anchor to hold us still as the storm rages on and the waves crash down. That anchor is the Lord Jesus Christ, the king of kings and ruler of the Universe. He not only speaks truth, He is the very embodiment of it.
Once upon a time, our society was built upon the principles of the Christian faith. When we got away from those principles is when things began to fall apart. Our own founding fathers said that our republic and the freedom it contains can only be maintained by a morally upright people, and they believed true morality was found in the pages of Holy Writ.
Let’s hope we can follow in the Hulkster’s example as a nation and get rooted in biblical principles once again
