A man from New Hampshire has been taken into custody by local law enforcement professionals after allegedly threatening to “blow” the “brains out” of a presidential candidate, according to information released by the Department of Justice. Any guesses as to which political party the candidate who was threatened belonged to? If you guessed the Republican Party, you nailed it.
The release from the DOJ didn’t officially reveal who it was, but the presidential campaign of pharmaceutical executive Vivek Ramaswamy confirmed he was the intended target. Even if you disagree with his politics, a decent human being on either side of the political spectrum should be able to condemn such threats, as that’s not the way to bring about change in a free country. We have an electoral system that, when functioning properly and is not being tampered with, allows every citizen to express their political beliefs by casting a ballot for the person that most represents them. That’s how you change things.

On December 8, in response to a text message about an event in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the suspect allegedly replied, “Great, another opportunity for me to blow his brains out!” and “I’m going to kill everyone who attends and then f*** their corpses.”
According to the DOJ, the text message was sent in response to an invitation for a campaign event on December 11. Ramaswamy was the only candidate with a public event listed in Portsmouth that day and his campaign told the New Hampshire Journal that they were the targets of the threat.
“We are grateful to law enforcement for their swiftness and professionalism in handling this matter and pray for the safety of all Americans,” campaign spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin told the outlet.
Those are not the words of an individual who is sane, that much should be clear. Either that or they have been brainwashed by so much propaganda they have been intellectually poisoned to such a degree they truly have a heart overflowing with hatred for those who hold a different set of beliefs.
Ramaswamy’s campaign was looking to put on a “Breakfast with Vivek” event at the Roundabout Dinner in the city of Portsmouth.
The man who made the threat is set to appear in a federal court located in Concord on Monday for his first hearing. If he is ultimately found guilty, he could spend up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release, and a massive $250,000 fine.
Court documents also allege that he had sent threatening messages to a different candidate last week, saying he wanted to “blow that b******’s head off,” NBC Boston reported.
Another message written by the psychopath said, “Thanks, I’ll see you there. Hope you have the stamina for a mass shooting!”
Ramaswamy has announced that he will be holding other events throughout the state of New Hampshire, including some in Nashua, Manchester, and yes, Portsmouth. This is commendable and demonstrates that Ramaswamy has a spine. He’s not allowing this threat or this man to terrorize him. It’s a good look for him.
