Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley experienced a significant loss this week, finishing third in the Iowa caucuses behind winner former President Donald Trump, and second place finisher Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis. And it doesn’t look like things are going to improve after an old tweet from 2020 has come back to haunt her as primary season continues to move forward.
It was a post in which Haley gave billionaire Bill Gates a big thank you for applying some of his vast riches to help produce the COVID vaccine, which, as we all know, have led to a number of serious heart complications, sudden deaths, and other unpleasant side effects. This is not going over well with conservatives.
“Thank you [Bill Gates] for donating billions of dollars to construct factories that will manufacture the seven most promising vaccines,” the United Nations ambassador posted. “This will keep us from losing any time as potential vaccines move through the clinical trial process.”

via The Western Journal:
Many conservatives, Donald Trump supporters, and detractors of the former UN ambassador blasted Haley for her praise of the man who is often seen as a villain by those on the right.
Comedienne Roseanne Barr, for one, jumped on her X account on Tuesday to laugh at Haley, especially in light of her blowout loss to Trump in Iowa.

Mindy Robinson, a conservative television personality, held nothing back in her rebuke of Haley, going on to refer to her as a “Deep State war pig.” Geesh. Some people just have no filter at all, do they? Then again, Haley may have earned some criticism for beating the war drum with just a little too much enthusiasm. As we all know, being gung-ho about international violence is a trait of the establishment, and being connected with the establishment is not a good way to attract conservative voters.
Everyone knows you're a Deep State war pig, drop the hell out already Nikki Haley (which isn't even your real name.)

Another X user reminded her followers that Gates wanted to have governments hand out vaccine passports to prevent unvaccinated people from traveling.
Never forget what Bill Gates wants and anyone that supports him.👇https://t.co/WC6GXMmjK8

And this is only the tip of the iceberg. Here are more responses to the post from folks on X:

It's literally the worst post ever made on @X
Nikki Haley is bought and paid for.

If you follow the money, Nikki’s post ought to be a key piece of information for you in deciding “Who are you for in 2024?”

Haley also took heat in the aftermath of Monday’s caucuses for telling her supporters that “Iowa made this Republican primary a two-person race,” even though she came in third.
Trump was by far the top choice of Iowa Republican caucus-goers. He won by nearly 30 points with 51 percent of the vote, giving him the biggest margin of victory in caucus history.
Florida Republican Ron DeSantis took home 21.2 percent of the vote, with Haley bringing in 19.1 percent. In light of the massive victory for Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy suspended his campaign and revealed on Wednesday that he’s supporting the former president and will be working alongside his campaign in some capacity.
This, of course, led to rumors of Ramaswamy potentially being Trump’s vice presidential pick. That wouldn’t be a bad idea. The pharmaceutical executive went from a relative unknown to someone who has garnered a loyal following. Much of that is the result of his debate performance where he skewered all of the other candidates pretty thoroughly and exposed their hypocrisy.
He would be a good fit for Trump now that I think about it.
