No matter how well written a speech might be, if the person delivering it has the mental capacity of a toddler, there’s a pretty high probability it will be butchered. This has to be a painful experience for someone who makes their profession writing addresses of these kinds, knowing that first of all, someone other than you is going to get all of the credit for the work you’ve done, but also that work could be absolutely ruined by the delivery of said material by the speaker.
Especially if the speaker happens to be President Joe Biden.
Biden was delivering remarks at the National Prayer Breakfast at the Capitol on Thursday morning when he made the worst possible gaffe you could make in front of a group of Christians.
“But remember — let’s remember who the hell we — who we are,” he stated at the end of his speech. Cursing during a speech delivered at a Prayer Breakfast. Talk about the importance of knowing your audience. All he had to do was read the speech. Why is that so hard for this guy? He continually makes mistakes by going off the rails and not just delivering what’s been written up for him. It’s moronic to the core.

Nothing like using “hell” as your go-to word when describing what our nation stands for at the National Prayer Breakfast. The slip-up is revealing and, once again, embarrassing on the world stage. It makes us look like easy pickings to our enemies. In the condition the United States is at present, they wouldn’t be wrong.
In his mentally incapacitated state, however, Biden sees none of this. The doddering fool, you’d feel sorry for him if only he didn’t show glimpses of pure evilness during those few seconds of complete clarity.
It was no different at the National Prayer Breakfast. From the moment that he took to the podium, his enunciation of words, especially as he segued between sentences, was deplorable.
President Biden has always suffered from what you might call a bit of “unprofessionalism,” such as when he referred to the chairwoman of the National Prayer Breakfast Foundation, Heidi Heitkamp, as a “kid” during his speech. Oof. Talk about cringe.
“Heidi, I hadn’t seen you in a while,” Biden went on to say to the 68-year-old former senator. “It’s so good to see you again, kid. It really is.”
There’s something so condescending about referring to a grown adult, especially one in their 60s, as a “kid.” Then again, Biden’s always a bit on the condescending side, so no suprise there.
Even some of Biden’s jokes were distasteful. When addressing Democratic Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware in the speech, the president noted that Coons had earned a law degree at the same time he earned a divinity degree from Yale University.
“Makes me always wonder about him,” Biden said. “I don’t know.”
To be an attorney and a man of faith — you could see why this coupling might perplex the president.
Biden ended the event by saying, “We’re the only nation in the world that has come out of every crisis stronger than we went in when we act together.”
I sincerely hope that remains true in the future. As it stands right now, we’re the most we’ve been divided in a very long, long time. Let us hope, by the will of God, we can all put aside our differences and for the common good unite on shared values and beliefs.
