A man by the name of Maison Des Champs, who calls himself the “pro-life Spiderman,” took it upon himself to scale the 366-foot-tall Las Vegas Sphere in order to raise funds for a homeless pregnant woman on Wednesday, proving this is what real heroism looks like. I can’t even handle climbing a step-ladder, so the idea of climbing up a sphere like this makes feel like puking up my dinner. This takes a lot of intestinal fortitude.
Des Champs went live on social media after he reached the top of the arena, telling his viewers that he chose this particular structure because the Super Bowl would be coming to the city soon.
“While half a million football fans arrive in Las Vegas for Superbowl LVIII, Des Champs wants to shake the public into caring about the fate of unborn children in our country,” the pro-life charity Let Them Live went on to say in a statement, according to the Daily Mail.

The organization then revealed they were raising money to help a 37-year-old woman who was considering an abortion, but now wants help so she can keep the baby. While it’s easy to want to judge people for the situations they get into, it’s important to remember this woman is trying to make the right choice, regardless of the reason she’s homeless, and that speaks volumes about her heart.
Here’s more from Breitbart:
The Sphere is the recently opened music and entertainment arena in Paradise, Nevada, situated just outside Las Vegas, east of the Las Vegas Strip. With a 580,000-square-foot exterior, it is the largest spherical structure in the world.

Des Champs contrasted the importance of the pro-life movement with the superficiality of following Taylor Swift.
“Over 2,000 children meet their demise through abortion every day in America, but we’ve grown apathetic about it,” Des Champs went on to say, adding, “We care more about seeing Taylor Swift on the kiss cam than a third of our generation that has been wiped from abortion.”
“In the spotlight of my climb today is Isabel, a brave soul currently navigating through life’s harshest storms, pregnant and facing uncertainty with every step,” Des Champs stated on the organization’s donation page.
“‘Having had to make the heart-wrenching decision to adopt out three of her children, and with twins living with her ex-husband, she’s now facing the prospect of bringing a new life into this world under the most challenging circumstances imaginable,” he remarked.
“By supporting Isabel, you join a community of barrier-breakers and ceiling-shatterers. Together, we will save a life,” the fundraising page stated in conclusion.
As you probably already guessed, local authorities were none too pleased with Des Champs for his antics and promptly took him into custody after his climb was completed.
Des Champs pulled a similar stunt this time last year, just ahead of the Super Bowl, scaling a 40-story office building located in Phoenix, sans safety harnesses. Yikes. That could’ve gone very badly.
This man has guts for days, don’t you think?
