Former President Donald Trump’s National Security Adviser, John Bolton, made an appearance on CNN on Thursday where he issued a warning to President Joe Biden, stating he is going to end up sinking his chances of being re-elected if he makes the mistake of recognizing a Palestinian state. Of course, given the fact Biden is incompetent and suffering from cognitive decline, it’s not likely him who is making these decisions in the first place, but that won’t change the optics of the situation. Siding with terrorists usually does not go over well with the American people.
Although, we are living in an age when it’s popular to hate on Israel and support false narratives and propaganda pushed by Hamas and other pro-Palestinian groups in the Middle East, so maybe it would help bring on young voters? That’s still not enough to win re-election, however.
via The Daily Caller:
The State Department is reportedly reviewing plans that would recognize Palestine as an official state as part of a large effort to bring stability to the Middle East, two U.S. officials told Axios. The U.S. and several other allies do not recognize Palestine as an official state. Saudi Arabia has said a peace deal with Israel is contingent on the “irrevocable” recognition of a Palestinian state.
“You long ago called the two-state solution a dead end, that there was no kind of pathway forward on that. Do you think that still holds today?” CNN’s Phil Mattingly asked Bolton during the interview.
“I think it’s even more true today,” Bolton responded. “I will say this first. If Joe Biden wants to lose the election this November, go ahead and recognize a Palestinian state. Go ahead. Make Donald Trump’s day. You know, we’re not recognizing a state of mind. To recognize a state, there actually has to be one in existence, and right now there is no Palestinian state.”
At this point, do we really have complete confidence Joe Biden will still be the nominee in November? If you look at his polling numbers, combined with overall concern about his physical health, plus rhetoric from other Democrats who do not think he should be the nominee, I think there’s still reason to doubt the rematch with Trump will happen.
“The British foreign secretary said something very similar to what the White House is leaking. I really think it’s a mindless approach. It is actually much the same as what the PLO used to do, trying to get recognition as a state in the hallways of the United Nations as if that would make for a difference on the ground. I think that kind of position pushes the Israeli government into an even firmer resistance to negotiating that point,” Bolton continued.
Bolton then made the case that the current administration is so worried about losing the election in November they have essentially become frozen in place about what to do with the war waging on between Israel and Hamas.
What Biden doesn’t understand is he’s become a self-fulfilling prophecy. His poor handling of the war is causing him to lose young people, which is decreasing his chances of winning against Trump.
Then again, his chances are already so low, at this point, it almost feels like, barring some horrific incident like Trump getting convicted in one of his indictments, the cat should be in the bag. But let’s not put the cart before the horse, right?
