A new report from Politico seemingly suggests that Democrats are hoping beyond hope that pop music sensation Taylor Swift can help flip Florida from being a red state into a blue one, which sounds absolutely bananas on the surface, but given the strange happenings we’ve witnessed in this nation ever since the COVID pandemic kicked off, it could happen.
I sincerely hope there aren’t enough people in the state of Florida who are brain-dead enough to allow themselves to be swayed to support a political candidate simply because a pop star does, but I don’t have much faith in humanity.

“Could Taylor Swift tilt Florida blue? It’s Democrats’ wildest dream,” headlined the outlet, citing questions over why Swift named a song on her new album “Florida!!!” or her decision to hold three concerts in Miami before the November elections. Democrat Rep. Maxwell Frost, the first Gen Z member of Congress, said that Swift could help sway the state.
“It’s so close to the election, and we hope that there’s a message included to encourage folks, especially her fans, to go vote,” Frost went on to say. “We need the help.”
Democrats, for instance, will be planning voter registration drives at her concerts and will “hold listening sessions and karaoke parties of her music as part of ‘A Day of Action (Taylor’s Version)’ when her new album is released in April.”
Politico went on to state in its report, “Jayden D’Onofrio, who chairs the Florida Democratic Party’s Youth Council, said party members would be at all Swift’s concerts to ensure they’re engaging young people. D’Onofrio, who also leads the Florida Future Leaders PAC geared toward high school and college students, added: ‘People care about her. People understand the importance of her. She is a youth icon.'”
“That Florida Democrats are pinning their hopes on a mega star like Swift speaks volumes of the state of the party. The once reliable swing state now leans Republican, with the GOP holding supermajorities in the state Legislature as well as every position in the Cabinet. Republicans outnumber Democrats in voter registration numbers by almost 780,000 voters and former President Donald Trump won Florida in 2016 and 2020,” it continued.
During the 2020 presidential election Swift publicly endorsed Joe Biden, though she has not, as of this writing, announced if she would be showing public support for a candidate this time around, though you can guarantee leftists are hoping and praying she does. Now, her last endorsement was simply a post saying she voted for Biden with a picture of a plate of Biden cookies. That was it.
I think leftists are hoping for more this time around. I wouldn’t be surprised if they wanted her to do a whole slew of posts about Biden in an effort to convince her younger fans who might be voting in their first election to cast a ballot for the 81-year-old man. Because who could possibly understand the problems they face as a young generation more than a man old enough to be their great-grandfather?
