I want you all to take a moment and think about what it would take to make President Joe Biden look like a shining star and smooth talker. Probably nothing, right? Well, somehow, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Democrat from Massachusetts, has managed to do the impossible. Yes, I’ll be the first to say it. Warren has performed a miracle. I mean, it’s not turning water into wine or anything, but she somehow managed to be far more cringe than Biden has been to date, an accomplishment of Herculean proportions.
According to a report from the Western Journal, the senator sat down for a conversation with Stephen Colbert on his late night program, where she went into some sort of strange performance bit that, honestly, had to be fully planned and rehearsed beforehand. This will seriously give you second-hand embarrassment. The real question is why in the world her staffers and advisers allowed her to do something like this, especially after the “let me get a beer” incident during the 2016 presidential election.
“Before we get into anything else to talk about,” Colbert went on to say, “Taylor Swift won big at the Grammys last night. Was that Phase 1 of the Democrats’ deep-state plan for the Chiefs …”
“You bet!” Warren interjected during the bit. “And all I can say to Donald Trump is: ‘Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate.’“
The last part of the song was actually sung by Warren — my ears still haven’t stopped bleeding — to the chorus of Taylor Swift’s smash hit “Shake It Off.”
Here’s more from the report:
The “joke,” such as it was, was a reference to conspiracy theories making the rounds on social media that the NFL and pop superstar Taylor Swift have plotted to feed publicity surrounding Swift’s romance with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
The Chiefs’ appearance in the Super Bowl will maximize the effect of Swift’s endorsement of President Joe Biden (to come at halftime, according to one theory published to X while the Chiefs were still playing in the AFC Championship game).
Regardless, Warren’s moment might have been aimed at mocking Trump, but it drew little but mockery for Warren on social media.
The worst part is, I can easily imagine her practicing this in the mirror for the segment…

. @SenWarren makes me sick. That clip made me vomit. She's awful. Anyone from Massachusetts that votes for this criminal in 2024 should get their head checked. It's time we clean up our state and it starts with POS's like her!

That politicians co opt celebrities was uncontroversial common knowledge before Taylor Swift. Now it is a conspiracy theory.

There’s nothing so absolutely humiliating as seeing an old, out of touch politician attempting to find relevancy in a manner that reeks of desperation. And this definitely smells to high heaven.
Of course, the big concern at the moment isn’t Warren because, let’s face it, nobody cares about yesterday’s news. What is really getting people by the goat right now is Taylor Swift potentially supporting Biden for president. Honestly, I don’t really think we should worry that much.
I think the conclusion of the Western Journal report sums it up nicely:
If the United States can experience the unmitigated disaster of the past four years of Joe Biden’s presidency and accept what will almost certainly be four more years of even more disastrous leadership based solely on the words of a wealthy pop star who made her fortune writing about her heart being broken, it deserves what it gets.
