One person was killed and nine others injured during a shooting that took place at the end of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade on Wednesday, according to The Western Journal’s latest report. This is horrible. One more fine example of skyrocketing crime rates that have been caused most likely by soft-on-crime policies championed by the left. Some might say I shouldn’t politicize this, but hey, liberals consistently and constantly politicize every shooting against guns, right? It’s time we played by their rules for once.
“Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins said eight to 10 people were injured but declined further comment, saying only that additional information will be released soon,” the Associated Press first reported.
“One person is dead and nine are injured from a shooting in Kansas City, Missouri, following the parade and rally for the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win, according to the Kansas City Fire Department,” ABS News stated in their coverage later on.
Local authorities have revealed two suspects are in custody.

This past Sunday, the Chiefs pulled off an overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers, 25-22 to cinch their second consecutive Super Bowl championship.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs became the first team since Tom Brady and the New England Patriots to win back-to-back Super Bowl titles.
“They all doubted us. I don’t wanna hear any different, but you know who came through in the end. That’s the Kansas City Chiefs!” Mahomes told the jubilant fans at the victory rally Wednesday.
It’s sad this momentous occasion was ruined by a couple of wicked individuals who had to make things violent. Such is the way of the world in the version of America that exists today. Will Democrats ever take responsibility for the mess they have made of major cities through their awful crime policies and by ignoring the situation at the southern border?
Remember, these are the same folks who decried police and demanded local law enforcement departments be defunded. What did the left think would be the end result of having less police on the streets? It should have been obvious. But politicians desiring to virtue signal in order to win favor and votes championed this cause and thus, cops were pulled from street duty because the departments they worked for had less money available to provide patrols. People are suffering for their aspirations. This doesn’t trouble their consciences however, which is a pretty sizable red flag.
Let’s hope the parties responsible for this tragedy are made examples of by the legal system not only to prevent themselves from committing future offenses but to deter others as well.
