On Friday, House Speaker Mike Johnson announced that 5,000 additional hours of video taken on Jan. 6, 2024, will soon be released. The video, which equals close to 208 complete days of viewing is being released by the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee. How many more people will be vindicated by what is seen on the recordings? Will anything lead to a further investigation of the events that actually took place that day?
“House Republicans again commend subcommittee Chairman Barry Loudermilk and the entire Committee on House Administration for their ongoing commitment to ensuring that there is full transparency surrounding the events of January 6,” Johnson went on to say.

The release follows Johnson saying in November 2023 that he would make the January 6, 2021, tapes available to the American people and the release of an initial tranche of 90 hours of footage.
There seems to more video in addition to what is being released Friday, with the Administration committee vowing to “continue to release the remaining footage online as expeditiously as possible so that it is accessible to every American.”
Some of new video is previously released video that was blurry and re-uploaded in an attempt to make the images clearer, Johnson also said.

“I appreciate Speaker Johnson’s continued support of our efforts and his resolute commitment to full transparency for the American people,” Loudermilk remarked. “Today’s decision will significantly expedite CCTV footage releases, all of which will be made available to the American public within the next few months, without blurring or editing. There are so many questions that have yet to be answered concerning the events that transpired that day. Why does it appear that local law enforcement was, at one point, allowing people to enter the building, which they knew was illegal, and escorting them around? I’m no conspiracy theorist, well, maybe I am a little bit, but the stuff seen in these videos really looks suspicious, as if the left was in on this and trying to make conservatives look like homegrown terrorists.
Was that the case? I don’t know. That’s why investigations into this story need to continue. I don’t feel like we’ve even scratched the surface of what happened.

The American people certainly do deserve to know the truth. Progressives have grown rather aggressive in their mission to implement a socialist society on the country and have gotten emboldened to take radical steps to silence the critics of their regime. Just imagine how bad things might be if Biden wins a second term.
