Ohio Republican Rep. Jim Jordan has officially released a series of previously unseen pieces of information that billionaire owner of X Elon Musk has called a “smoking gun” regarding pressure from the White House applied to Facebook in order to slap proverbial tape on the mouth of Facebook concerning the lab leak theory of COVID-19.
The first thing Jordan did was share a text message from Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg to Sheryl Sandberg, Nick Clegg, and Joel Kaplan, who were the highest-ranking executives at the company at that time where he asks if Facebook can tell the world that “the Biden WH put pressure on us to censor the lab leak theory?”
This came just hours after President Joe Biden accused the social media platform of “killing people.”

Then in late May of 2021, Facebook finally stopped removing content regarding the lab leak theory – though they did demote it. When employees told Zuckerberg about the reversal and explained why they censored the lab leak theory in the first place, Zuckerberg replied that this is what happens when Facebook “compromises [its] standards due to pressure from an administration.”
Elon Musk referred to this revelation as a “Smoking gun First Amendment violation.” The dude is right on the money. This is the government attempting to silence speech, which is an egregious and obvious constitutional violation.

What this boils down to is the federal government was attempting to utilize this horrific disease as a means of usurping power from the average American citizen, using fear to ensure compliance. I’d expect this sort of thing from North Korea’s government, but God forbid such action be taken by the United States government. Truly.
I think it’s been made rather clear that we cannot in any way trust Biden or his administration. If they open their mouths, guaranteed their lying. We have a man in office who can’t tie his own shoes, remember where the front door to his own home is, and makes hundreds of gaffes with no end in sight. Add to that the fact that he’s likely abused his political power and positions in order to be involved in an influence peddling scheme that made him millions of dollars, and it seems pretty obvious Biden is not someone who should be president.
Let’s hope that something comes of Jordan’s revelations. It does no good to pull the curtains back and not shine the spotlight if you get my meaning. People involved in this violation need to be held accountable for their disdain for the Constitution. It’s important because Americans have lost faith in the justice system, one of the core institutions of our country. That can only be restored by holding all people equal under the law and ensuring those guilty of wrongdoing pay a penalty for their actions.
