A group of “experts” have stated that if former President Donald Trump should win another four year term in the White House, his bride and our first lady, Melania Trump, would be calling it her residence in name only and not actually spending a great deal of her time there. It might sound weird, but Melania was never big on being in the public eye the first go-around in the president’s mansion, so it isn’t surprising she wouldn’t want to actually “live” in the White House. Especially after all of the trauma and criticism she received just simply for being married to her famous husband.
According to a piece published by the Huffington Post, the folks at Axios interviewed some veteran observers of our former first lady, going on to state Monday, “So the prospect of her rolling in for a second full-time stint in the East Wing? Doubtful, according to the handful of Melania-ologists.”
The more likely scenario would be her commuting between Palm Beach and New York, where son Barron is rumored to be attending college in the fall, Axios gleaned from the pundits. She would take up at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. “only for ceremonial undertakings like state dinners or special events.”
“She’s distancing herself even more from her husband and from the Washington social political scene,” “First Women” author Kate Anderson Brower said during the conversation with Axios. “I mean, she clearly hated being in Washington.”
Who doesn’t hate Washington? The whole city has basically gone to the dogs ever since the vast majority of the leaders running the show there have implemented liberal policies causing massive increases in violence, robberies, and just all around filthiness. Plus, the stench of politics has saturated the air with a heavy odor of corruption. There’s not much appealing about our nation’s capital these days.
Melania Trump would have small company among first ladies who have not lived at the White House the majority of time after the first occupants took up residence there in 1800. Anna Harrison was packing to join President William Henry Harrison in Washington before he died a month into his term. She never made the trip.
Bess Truman and President Harry Truman lived at Blair Housewhile renovations were being done at the White House. But Melania Trump’s living arrangement would be more of a choice.
A report from 2018 that was published by The Washington Post revealed that the Trumps had very different daily routines and even slept in different bedrooms. However, when rumors popped up stating that Melania Trump lived with her son, Barron, and her parents at another residence located in Washington, her staff took a full blown bazooka and blew them out of the water, referring to them as completely false.
The “Melania-ologists” didn’t speculate on what to expect from the former first lady on the hand-holding front for a White House encore, but in one memorable moment it didn’t seem so great the first time around.
A former aide to the ex-first lady, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, said recently that Melania Trump will never separate from her husband but will be more scarce following his criminal conviction.
As of right now, we don’t know if these so-called “Melania-ologists” are going to be right about her not spending much time in the White House are not. To be honest, this could be one of those narratives being spun as a means of making the Trump look like they are on the verge of splitting up or something of that nature. Then again, that might not be the intent at all. You never know with these folks.
