Jessica Tarlov, a raging liberal contributor on Fox News returned to “The Five” and wasted no time getting back into verbal fisticuffs with conservative co-hosts Greg Gutfeld and Jesse Watters. The latest battle royal between the three came during the Aug. 6 episode of the program. Tarlov sparring wits with Gutfeld and Watters is a horrible idea, given how sharp the two of them are compared to the dullard she, and most leftists, tend to be.
So what started all the drama? During the broadcast, Tarlov decided to take a dive into the cesspool of lies and twisted narratives liberals created during the coronavirus pandemic and bring up the false claim that former President Donald Trump told people to inject themselves with bleach. What he actually said was that products like bleach would be tested to see if they could sterilize areas and help slow down the spread of the virus.
“And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning. Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that. So, that, you’re going to have to use medical doctors with. But it sounds – it sounds interesting to me,” the White House transcript says.
It does not take a genius to understand these comments. Trump is talking about hoping there will be some kind of treatment for COVID that would help clear out the virus from a person’s body, like a disinfectant, like bleach, does for surfaces. He did not literally mean inject yourself with cleaning products. You either have to be purposefully twisting the former president’s words, which makes you dishonest and dishonorable, or you’re intelligence quotient is that of your shoe size.

In any case, Tarlov, bringing up the matter, said, as a means of attacking the former president, “I still remember Covid and injecting bleach — ” Judge Jeanine Pirro was the first to react, groaning, “Come on — ” Gutfeld followed up, fact-checking her and firing back, “That — okay, that’s a hoax. No one said injecting bleach. Please look it up! Please look it up. We’ll do it in real-time.”
Tarlov asked, “Lysol?” Gutfeld responded, “It never happened.” Tarlov then tried insisting that it did, saying, “Never happened? Did he say — ” Responding, Gutfeld told her she was deluded and said, “You’re literally living in a delusion right now. That never was said. Do the research, no one ever said injecting bleach. Look it up, it has been debunked. That’s just like the ‘fine people’ hoax. I hate having to fix these things in real time.”
Tarlov then pulled out her phone and tried to pull something up to prove her point. But, as could be expected given that she was wrong in arguing that Trump told people to inject bleach, she was unable to find anything that actually supported her argument and was true, as it is an untrue story, a hoax.

With Tarlov back on “The Five,” this is surely just one of many, many sparring matches we’re going to see between her and the rest of the co-hosts on the show. It’ll make for entertaining television at least.
