For what might be the first time in her life, Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, told the truth while giving a speech discussing economic issues like inflation. During the address, Harris said that “a loaf of bread costs 50 percent more today than before the pandemic. Ground beef is up almost 50 percent.”

Food was cheaper when President Trump was in the White House.

In other words, food was a heck of a lot cheaper under the leadership of former President Donald Trump than it is today under Joe Biden’s administration. Glad to see she can finally admit it. Inflation has hit such an astronomically high level that it drove up the cost of living exponentially, leading to an obscene number of middle class Americans have to live paycheck-to-paycheck. That was not the case before Biden and Harris took office in 2021.
What’s even more infuriating is how this pair of intellectually challenged boneheads have had three-and-a-half years to fix this mess and have only made it worse.
On Thursday, Trump held a press conference where he promptly tore the vice president to shreds over her economic plan, referring to it as the “Maduro plan,” which means skyrocketing prices for food to the point that people can’t afford the basic necessities needed for life.
“We call it the ‘Maduro plan,’ like something straight out of Venezuela or the Soviet Union,” he went on to say, making a reference to socialist Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro. “[Harris’ new economic plan] is an admission that her economic policies have totally failed and caused really a catastrophe for our country, and beyond that, a catastrophe in the world.”
Here’s more on this from The NY Post:
The 45th president hosted an almost two-hour speech and press conference in Bedminster, New Jersey. The tables were filled with cans of food, meat, milk and cereal, highlighting how much groceries have skyrocketed since Harris became vice president. Trump said that meat, poultry and fish are up 23%, children’s food is up by 24.1%, baking goods by 27.2% and cereal and bakery goods have gone up 26% under the Biden-Harris administration.
He predicted that an economic crash will happen if Harris is elected in November, blasted her for wanting to take away his tax cuts and claimed she wants to end private health care in favor of a “Communist system.”Trump noted that the economy was in better shape when he was in office, and asserted that Harris has a “Communist lean.”
One of the solutions Trump proposes to help fix the problem was summed up in three words: drill, baby, drill.
I like the way he thinks, don’t you?
“So when I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on day one. We will end Kamala’s war on American energy, and we will drill baby drill. We’re going to drill, baby drill that’s going to bring down prices of everything, because energy brought it up,” Trump stated.
The former president also spoke about his promise to reduce the price of energy by half and to end taxation on tips.
If you want to end a recession, if you want to see the economy flourish, you do what Trump is suggesting and avoid Harris’ plan like the plague.
