Secret Service agents were captured on video breaking into a hair salon in the state of Massachusetts without permission in a brazen violation of the business owner’s privacy, taped over the security cameras, so that people at a Kamala Harris fundraising event could use the bathroom. This is the kind of elitist snobbery the left wants to permanently install in our government. Clearly, they believe someone like Vice President Kamala Harris, their golden child, is far more important than a pleeb like you. Despicable.
The incident occurred on July 27 at the Four One Three Salon located in the city of Pittsfield. Secret Service agents entered the business by force ahead of Harris’ first in-person fundraising event since being named the Democratic Party nominee, according to The Gateway Pundit.
The salon’s owner, Alicia Powers, had already complied with the Secret Service’s requests by closing her business for the day to accommodate the security needs of the event, which was being held at the nearby Colonial Theatre.
“They had a bunch of people in and out of here doing a couple of bomb sweeps again — totally understand what they have to do, due to the nature of the situation,” Powers said during an interview with The Business Insider. “And at that point, my team felt like it was a little bit chaotic, and we just made the decision to close for Saturday.”
However, what transpired next left Powers feeling violated and betrayed. According to Powers, Secret Service agents took it upon themselves to enter her locked salon, use her bathroom, and tamper with her security cameras—all without her consent. Security footage obtained by Business Insider showed a female Secret Service agent taping over the lens of a Ring security camera located at the salon’s entrance. The agents then proceeded to break into the salon, triggering the security alarm and using the facilities for nearly two hours before leaving the building completely unsecured.
“When I got back to my phone, it was actually closer to 2:30 before I caught that. When I saw that people were in here I literally got in my car I raced here they had already essentially cleaned up and left,” Powers stated in a conversation with iBerkshire. “When I got back here, my front door was left unlocked. I don’t know how long it was unlocked for and that’s essentially the the gist of what happened. They were walking around in here for a good hour and a half, my alarm was going off the entire time, that should have alarmed somebody that maybe you shouldn’t be in the building.”
You can see video footage of the forced entry here.
This is not a good look for the Secret Service, especially coming off monumental failures that almost led to the assassination of former President Donald Trump a month ago. No way this is going to repair the severely damaged image the USSS is presenting to the general public with this kind of abuse of power. And the fact they would do this for a Democratic presidential nominee while making endless mistakes in protecting a former Republican president speaks volumes.
As Powers explained, multiple people—including emergency medical personnel and law enforcement— were inside to use the bathroom without permission.
“There were several people in and out for about an hour-and-a-half — just using my bathroom, the alarms going off, using my counter, with no permission,” Powers recounted. “And then when they were done using the bathroom for two hours, they left, and left my building completely unlocked, and did not take the tape off the camera.”
An EMS worker then informed Powers that one of the agents with the Secret Service was inviting folks into the business — again, without permission from the owner — to use their facilities.
“Whoever was visiting, whether it was a celebrity or not, I probably would’ve opened the door and made them coffee and brought in donuts to make it a great afternoon for them. But they didn’t even have the audacity to ask for permission. They just helped themselves,” Powers explained. The building landlord, Brian Smith, shared Powers’ view of the situation, going on to state that the Secret Service failed to ask him or his father for permission to enter the property.
Powers was only made aware of just how invasive the Secret Service was by checking out the security footage. The agents also failed to secure the door to the premises when they left, leaving it susceptible to potential theft from other criminals in the area. When Powers attempted to address the situation with both local police and the Secret Service, she was more or less brushed off.
The Pittsfield Police, who were supposed to be coordinating the fundraiser with the Secret Service said they had no knowledge of the incident. It wasn’t until Business Insider got in contact with the Secret Service for a comment that they finally acknowledged the situation and issued an apology.
“I really felt good about that and that’s all I wanted out of the situation was accountability,” she said in the interview with iBerkshire. “Because if we do something wrong in the community and we get in trouble, we’re held accountable and we have to make sure that we follow through with that and that’s all that I was asking for.”
“The U.S. Secret Service works closely with our partners in the business community to carry out our protective and investigative missions,” Secret Service Spokesperson McKenzie wrote in an email to BI. “The Secret Service has since communicated with the affected business owner.”
“We hold these relationships in the highest regard and our personnel would not enter, or instruct our partners to enter, a business without the owner’s permission,” she added.
That should tell you what the “elites” think about you. Do we really want people like Harris, who view themselves as better than everyone else, to be in charge of the country?
