A brand new piece from the Daily Wire, penned by Tommy Tuberville, theorizes that the 2024 presidential election is going to bring a whole host of young voters to the polls to cast ballots for former President Donald Trump. Of course, if you’ve viewed any of the junk coming out from the mainstream media outlets, both in print and on television, then you’d swear up and down that if you’re considered a “young person,” you are bound by the laws of the universe to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris later this fall. It’s the same story if you’re a minority as well. Not voting for the black woman running for the Oval Office?
You must be a racist and misogynist who hates blacks and women. No other explanation will suffice. But that’s not the case at all. People have a variety of reasons for supporting their candidate of choice, most notably, that of shared values. The citizenry of the United States want to choose someone who holds the principles that best represent their own.
In Tuberville’s article, he noted that this year will mark the beginning of Gen Z voting in the presidential election. He then calls on his experience working 4 decades with young folk as a coach and educator, going on to say that he’s extremely pleased with how the U.S. encourages people both young and old to make sure their voices are heard by participating in the voting process.
“This presidential election happens to be an incredibly consequential one too. It’s a choice between two distinct visions for America. I believe President Trump’s vision for our country will bring young voters into the Republican Party like we’ve never seen before. And there is good reason to believe this will happen,” Tuberville wrote. “Let’s look at the two different visions for America. On one hand, you have President Trump’s vision of a free, prosperous, and safe America where young people can work hard to achieve the American dream. According to President Trump’s vision, merit, content of character, and love of country will bring you success.”
He then pointed out that currently, the Democratic Party is calling all the shots in our country today. And yes, it’s true, as much as I hate to admit it. They are doing so through what Tuberville calls the “Woke HR Complex.” This “complex” is comprised of four parts: the mainstream media, the education system, Hollywood, and corporate America.All of these institutions work together to pick who they deem the winners and losers strictly based on race, sexual identity, and other arbitrary standards while also judging you on how much wokeness you adhere to. Tuberville revers this to a country wide Human Resources department.
The main rule of the Woke HR Complex is simple: in order to succeed, make sure you adhere 100% to the standards of political correctness and identity politics. Be sure to never offend the liberal sensibilities of the regime. If you ask questions, you will be labeled an “extremist,” “conspiracy theorist,” or worse. If you transgress the Complex, you will be disciplined, like an HR department, for attempting to think freely.
Gone are the days of Democrats being the party of “free thinkers,” anti-establishment figures, and working-class populists. Democrats like RFK Jr. or Tulsi Gabbard who bravely questioned the liberal-elite narrative were outlawed and ostracized by the Party.
Tuberville then says that he believes this new generation of young people will ultimately reject progressive vision for the country being cast by the powers-that-be. Individuals in this demographic don’t like being told they absolutely MUST think a certain way or that they must be a prisoner to their on circumstances and situations.
He then noted that this demographic doesn’t want to simply be boiled down to their skin color or sexual preferences, nor how well they follow the progressive dogmas that have been assigned for them to follow if they desire to be part of the “hive mind.” Rebellion and youth tend to go together like peanut butter and jelly, and you can only rebel against the current status quo. That’s currently liberalism. The Democratic Party doesn’t allow for divergence.
“Instead, young people want a country that gives them an opportunity stand on their own two feet. They want to think for themselves and not be canceled for questioning the Complex’s equation for success. They’re growing tired of the same old liberal talking points parroted by the media, universities, and corporate America—they want to break free,” Tuberville wrote in his piece.
This desire for rebellion, Tuberville says, is why so many “edgy” and non-woke entertainers are finding an audience among this demographic. All you have to do to see this is true is look at the massive success being experienced by Shane Gillis and Joe Rogan. The former president understands this and is using strategies to tap into this group of voters.
In my own experience as a coach, I’ve worked with thousands of young people across the country. I had kids of all races, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds on my teams. I’ve coached both men and women’s sports. What was common with all these young adults is that they believed in working hard and earning success on their own merit. They loved to ask questions to figure out how to be the best. They needed a leader to guide them and encourage them to ask questions, not police their thoughts and actions. Similarly, President Trump will provide our Nation’s young people with the environment and the tools needed to prosper.
The author goes on to say that members of the GOP will swear it’s Trump’s policies drawing in young people. No doubt that’s part of it. However, he points out that the former president speaks his mind and says the quiet part out loud, the things that others don’t want to say or don’t have the courage to say. It’s refreshing.
I sincerely hope Tuberville is correct on this one because the indoctrination of young people from elementary grades all the way through university age is creating whole generations of statists that could destroy the beauty of America if these ideas aren’t shot down.
